Which standard 5* are you all choosing? Haven’t got Jean so will be selecting her personally (started playing very late).
Jean is the best pick if u don’t have her yes cuz of that one abyss floor with the 3 abyss heralds 2 cryo 1 hydro u pretty much had to have jean to do that one.
the other good pick is tighnari cuz he does good dmg and it’s rare type of dmg cuz the 4* dendros suc at dmg or just healers + fun to play and going for his cons is also good if u already have all the standards or just hate them.
next is keqing cuz she’s fun to play ( based ) she does more dmg than diluc now ( probably wrong idk it’s been so long since last i checked ).
mona : more hydro we all need more wet freeze things or just screen shot dmg ( not really that good but im looking at the other options ).
diluc : he started lamenting lately, he’s pretty good at it ( credit where credit is due ).
qiqi : better than dehya , really good in coop arlecchino weekly boss fight, flex on them noobs with the sick red glowy katana.
dehya : u can say u have dehya ( didn’t want her in my account she came any ways ).
Thank you, looks like my intuition about Jean was right. Got Keqing already from losing 50/50. Don’t really like Tighnari’s design and I built Kirara already as a budget shielder. So it’s a pretty easy choice.
i kinda disagree on jean, bennett also works as a cleanser, or you could just, not get hit
all 3 dps are good if you dont already have another of their same element/teams, but if you do then not all that much
imo mona could be one of the best choices, alongside the dps, she’s budget furina and a free hydro instead of limited which is much appreciated (our 4* options are xq, barbruh and candace only if c6, yeah its not good), might allow some units to be on other teams, she’s often underrated for double hydro hu tao (mona buff can have decent enough uptime for frontloading a ton of damage), still goated on freeze with omen extension (although spill issued players say kokomi better when freeze has so much crowd control that its difficult to get hit) and can even be a good plunge dps with xianyun
id say the order could something like this (ordered within tiers)
tighnari-keqing-diluc (theyd be second tier if you already have their archetypes covered)

dehya
but anyways top priority should be picking what you don’t have unless it’s qiqi or dehya lmao

tighnari ranks higher just in case there’s a dendro theater and there aren’t that many options for good dendro dmg & most players have many pyro and electro units by now , but i guess u can make do if theater lets u use nilou or emilie

i also dont really do mono pyro coz i dont have many pyro units, my only pyro team is hu tao double hydro

I cleared that abyss with hu tao burgeon, pretty easy on that side from what I remember, dendro takes care of hydro shields and hu tao takes care of cryo ones
the hydro there just serve as dps enablers pre-shield or post-shield for the mages, and then worked to remove the baptist pyro shield
the actually hard part imo was consecrated beasts on first half chamber 3, those mfs could break through zhongli’s shield even with damage reduction from other units
it do seem pretty fast against the shields tho, but i still believe sunfire is unnecessary, especially since the dps when there’s no shield doesn’t seem all that great, so it balances out in the end

Other maps? After liyue, they gave region unique traversal system to help us explore it.
Inazuma patch introduce boats, travel gates and those lightning orbs that can help us reach high places.
Sumeru, leaf sigils, trampoline shrooms.
Fontaine, intro diving which is an omnidirectional exploration. Theres also the water rings to help us reach high places cos there’s rewards at the top.

and no, the other traversal systems don’t really count, they’re only in places they choose to put them for puzzles or whatever, and are extremely boring and devoid of any real mechanic, most are basically “you get in place/press a button to go from point a to point b, rinse and repeat”
boats only get used once in 99.9% of the places until you get to land and unlock a teleporter, the only one that doesn’t is that boat that you take for the fishing place in inazuma for the catch
trampolines are not generally used to help in traversal because they aren’t generally positioned in places that’d help, nor is movement after bouncing any good, it’s mostly puzzles to get things that they chose to place higher and such, several mountain ranges in sumeru without them, and they don’t exist at all in the desert
fontaine diving is something that’s also been asked to be put on the rivers of any other region, it’s aight, nothing out of this world tho, it’s just a slightly easier way to move in all 3 dimensions, but the map design doesn’t really support it as much as it’s the same forest and ruins they always do, just that the forest are now algae, and dont forget that they didnt bother to allow any non fontainian to do the dolphin jump.

If they did remove the load limit, people would make teapots with tons of items to the point of crashing their device. Load limits exist to improve performance so that the game runs smoothly.

Old characters don’t get retroactive changes unless its a bugfix or a “bugfix”, constellations have progressed and those old ones are a relic of old Genshin

Sure people might try to sue and everything when they do things like Neuvi “nerfs” (balance change that came out a little too late and just when another hydro dps is about to be release, one of the stupidest hoyo moves ever), but they stand on pretty much no legal grounds to actually proceed on with it or even win the case, although they may be lucky and a decent judge and/or jury might be in their favour, because fuck the interests of megacorps.
They are so legally shielded that Hoyo only “listens” to these complaints and legal actions for their public image, nothing more, nothing less.
Just like recently Disney pulled a “you can’t sue us because you agreed to ToS on your free trial of Disney+ on 2019” to a man whose wife died in a Disney-owned place, Hoyo technically could also pull that one or a similar one some day, but they’re smart enough to realize that’d be incredibly bad for their reputation (not enough to do the Neuv balance on time tho)

last time i was an addict, i had 4 accs all with zhongli, but then they release that brown boss that resist 60% earth, thankfully with multi accs i knew what normal players did’t know at that time, is that their random coop was dying really fast, i hosted all 4 accs at monday and had to wait really long for coop, but usually when i get a player to join they are either newbies that deal zero dps or trolls that brought ningguang and c0 zhongli, one time i had a troll insist that he can solo the boss with zhongli and stay inside the domain to force me log out.
so i knew the game turned to full single player and i will have to solo raid boss EVERY WEEK, bro i chickened out and never came back since then 😀

I agree with the guy that complained about the standard character bugs, also the selector only exists because they already made sure to powercreep every standard character aside from dehya, who is godawful (dont hold your breath tho, pyro archon incoming)
I do like the new elixir but I also really dont like how to get elixirs we need to spend leveled artifacts instead of just + 0 ones, that’s gonna be a god awful mora sink right there and as f2p we kinda don’t get enough mora, especially since they’re removing the weekly bounties
and I think mostly everyone agrees fate points change is for the better, I guess the only complaints could be that it’s still a 37.5% chance of getting the weapon you want the first time and that points still don’t save for the next banner, but meh, playing gachas is like signing up to be scammed anyways, just sometimes one scam is worse than another scam, but they’re all scams anyways, so I don’t really care about those two things
in the end, this doesn’t change the fact that the bad parts about the game are all tied to monetization and character progression, but the rest of the game is quite good, I think people are allowed to enjoy the good parts while also criticizing the bad ones, I doubt they “clearly despise” the whole game

It’s been years since the last time I did a mora ley line and as a f2p I have 90M+ mora, events and exploration give you more than enough, by far
the only sink is leveling up artifacts until 12 or 16 and use it as a fodder after it rolled in the wrong substats, repeating this process again and again is the real sink of mora and 5* artifacts (resin). It would be a joke if you could use level 0 artifacts
my bad I didn’t specify that I upgrade several characters and the mora is definitely not enough without doing leylines

Tighnari? Al’haitham performs better in all of his teams + more easily having access to hyperbloom subdps
Qiqi? Charlotte actually has energy generation, elemental application and her skill has a lot more range to trigger ToTM

Jean? Why use her when Xianyun exists and even buffs and enables an entire archetype. Her only use is cope at c4 for Wanderer and cope sunfire teams, but there’s a reason why none of those are meta
