Item Story
Often do I hear people sing, hear them tell tales, At this joyous banquet, when they gather together. My heart spurs me on to recite a new song for you: I shall strum my strings, weave my melody, Start my song, begin my tale, Of an ancient ancestor, the valiant giant Tupac. ... The young, heroic Tenoch would be enraged to hear this, Like a fierce gator, a prideful stag. He would have raised his stick high and said to Tupac: Why did you come out to sea? Why did you cross the waves? Your ancestor Uenuku would not have been so audacious. If you dare oppose me, I shall make sure you end up as fish food! Tupac, built like a mountain, would have laughed upon hearing this, Like a fierce rhino, a majestic emu. Grasping his drinking horn tightly, he would have replied: How could a weakling like you harm me in the slightest? By right, this drinking horn belongs to me, to the kin of my homeland. If you dare to seize it from me, come wrestle me first! Tupac, built like a mountain, had always been a heroic figure: Once, in a fit of rage, he had broken mountains with his bare hands, Thrust rocks into the earth to make hot springs bubble up. (The hot springs that can now be seen in the southwest, Are his legacy, still visible to this day.) Alone he once set out to sea to battle a giant two-tailed whale, Tore off the fierce beast's teeth to carry with him. Like the springs of that era, his heart was fervent and untamed, How could the young, heroic Tenoch possibly hope to impress him? ... Tupac, built like a mountain, recalled the events of decades past, When he contended with Tenoch for the drinking horn. And so he spoke before the lord of the blazing flames, Tupac, built like a mountain, would offer up the drinking horn. He would present it, revealing his final hope, Revealing his final hope, thus holding the flame high, Thus holding the flame high, even till his final breath, Even till his final breath, he had not betrayed his oath. ... This is where my story ends; may the youth remember well, Remember the words I spoke, the legends of the ancients. My father once sang, in a golden sea breeze, My mother taught me too, when I was young and naive. The years of darkness have long passed, the calamities subsided. There is always singing above the flowing springs; always feasts when dusk begins to fall. But let the new generation remember, lest they forget this warning: Above all else, there are two things that must never be forsaken — unity and promises. |

nothing but trash, anything with the effect “once every 15s” or so is trash not gonna lie
you’re correct
I knew Tupac was still alive!
You are a true G
Imma give it to Barbara, for the HP% and Beach and Ocean drip with her summer skin
wow, this is worthless
well this weapon is free as it is an event weapon I will try if it is better than other weapon for neuvi
Flat Energy generation from Prototype Amber always better than just some white Physical DMG every 15s.
Even if you dont have a Billet, TTDS still better than this weapon.
How is thrilling tales better than this? This has more HP than Thrilling tales. Just because of the passive that buffs another character? so the teamwide dmg is better?
the thing is that this weapon’s AoE hit only occurs once every 15 seconds. suppose your neuvi has 50k HP, that would make this weapon do 40k damage every 15 seconds… that’s like 2 hits from his charged attacks, not a lot of dmg.
NOW suppose you’re using TTDS and switch from neuvi to someone like fischl or xiangling or whatever, that’s 48% extra atk you’re giving them for 10 seconds. the dmg potential is much higher than that 40k hit
So, do you thing some Physical DMG every 15s better than buffing 48% ATK of one char every 20s?
Yeah you right, this weapon has more HP% than TTDS. but do you really thing 6.16% more HP% really worth?
So, do you think that 80%HP as Physical DMG every 15 seconds is better than buffing 48% ATK of one character every 20 seconds?
This weapon has 41.35% HP and TTDS has 35.19% HP. It only 6.16% more HP. Do you really sure that 6.16% more HP will bring significant upgrade?
I know 80% HP will deals high number of Physical DMG, but it won’t take any advantage from Hydro DMG bonus or Hydro Res Shred from VV set.
Let me make it simpler :
HP% of ‘Eye of Perception’
day 1 players were eating good, now every event weapon is just useless trash
can we get the old weapons back
Seems like impossible, considering how Hoyo treats Genshin unlike their other games, especially the both Honkai.
“now every event weapon is just useless trash”
It’s really only the Event Bows that are consistently bad.
Every other Weapon time gets alright Event weapons (and event Claymores are always goated)
both of you are kinda wrong tbh, event weapons are generally bad or don’t have real users until way later down the line, and this one is straight up just ass (I somewhat agree on the claymore thing tho, those are definitely the best ones)
festering desire – copium option for bennet until you had enough er to use prototype rancour, powercrept by sapwood in that regard. only truly useable with furina
cinnabar spindle – albedo only, need i say more?
toukabou shigure – downgrade of iron sting, lion’s roar or harbinger of dawn for alhaitham and keqing, simply a statstick replacement for kazuha or kuki
luxurious sealord – this one is kinda decent, good on a few characters given they meet er reqs, the characters themselves not being all that great. mainly an option for dehya, chongyun, eula or beidou, the latter being the best of them, while eula got a better option with tidal shadow, chongyun had bloodtainted and dehya could use katsuragikiri nagamasa for way better er and pretty much the same damage or the bell if all you care about is her tanking.
mailed flower – slight downgrade to any bloodtainted or rainslasher user, at least it’s free and serves as a stat stick for sayu if she can meet er reqs, mostly useful on that razor rainbow reaction spam team, falls off otherwise
ultimate overlord yap yap whatever – a slight upgrade to luxurious sealord with some extra versatility since it doesn’t buff only burst, possibly the best event weapon
missive windspear – white tassel, the catch and kitain outperform it, recently only really useable on emilie and maybe a copium option on shenhe if you meet her er reqs without fav and can trigger a reaction, replaceable with a skyward spine on her if you get it
dialogues of the desert sages – good on chevreuse and mika. that’s about it. chev might want something else if you wanna use her c4 for extra damage. yaoyao can use it but moonpiercer tends to be better for team dps given that you pick up the leaf, she doesn’t even need the er
dodoco tales – widsith, mappa mare and now flowing purity exist, downgrade or at best sidegrade to all of them
oathsworn eye – no users until xianyun and maybe charlotte, but fav exists and it’s just a sidegrade to it
ballad of the boundless blue – no users, worse dodoco
windblume ode – only good on venti, amber or collei if you dont have stringless, fav or sac. worse than slingshot on tighnari or sethos. too little uptime to be useable on ganyu
fading twilight – only useful on sara
ibis piercer – worse windblume ode. tied to charged attacks. outperformed by prototype crescent or hamayumi for ganyu
One detail you seem to be leaving out is that with event weapons you can easily obtain R5 with no additional effort just by completing some minigames, and upgrade costs are additionally reduced during those events, making them easier to max out than other 4-star options, especially since they don’t require billets or random weapon drops from banners. When comparing them against alternative options at lower refinements, the event weapons can often have more of an advantage than when simply comparing both at R5. And unless you are constantly swapping weapons around, or limiting yourself to a handful of usable characters, the supply of refined 4-star weapons is going to be very limited, so an event weapon doesn’t even have to be the absolute best option for a character for it to be useful.
And at least some of these takes on the event weapons seem rather questionable. For example, with its passive active, Mailed Flower offers more EM and way more ATK than either Bloodtainted or Rainslasher. Compared to Bloodtainted, it offers 210 more base ATK plus an additional 24% ATK and 19 EM with the passive. And it should be relatively easy to keep that passive active most of the time, so long as the character has used their skill or performed a reaction on-field within 8 seconds. Unless a character scales off something other than ATK, the massively higher base ATK alone is way better than a 24% DMG bonus that is specifically only active against opponents affected by Cryo or Electro.
And while Rainslasher is a bit more competitive with Mailed Flower, it still offers 55 less base ATK, along with 24% less ATK and 41 less EM with the passive active. Rainslasher’s passive DMG bonus can definitely help to make up for those lower stats and can be great for some characters, but just like Bloodtainted it only conditionally applies to opponents affected by two specific elements, meaning it often won’t be active, and is more restrictive in terms of how it can be used. For characters like Diluc, Dehya, Kaveh, and others, Mailed Flower is generally considered one of their best F2P options, either roughly on par with or better than the other two EM claymores, depending on how the character is used.
Some event weapons can be a bit underwhelming in terms of not bringing much new to the table, but they pretty much all tend to range from being useable to good on the right characters. And while something like Cinnabar Spindle was not all that usable on anyone but Albedo when it came out, it is now also a great option for Chiori, and considering the stats of the craftable Natlan weapons, it’s likely to work on more characters in the near future as well.
yeah the best part about event weapons is ez refines and upgrades, that’s why they tend to be weaker or just sidegrades when compared to other options, but I did compare to several 3* which are also ez to get r5 lvl90
imo most event weapons are secretly just time gated 3*
the takes may seem questionable but are based on mathematical results, sure mailed flower may give more em and atk, but the dmg% buff bloodtainted and painslasher give tends to be better or just as good as both of those stats, the higher base atk is better if you don’t/can’t use benny, otherwise it generally isn’t, and the passives are also easy to maintain since generally you’d have off-field teammates with the application needed to abuse the buff on reactions.
mailed flower is the best option on something like melt diluc tho which doesn’t really have any other options but xianyun existing kinda made that comp cope since it relies on double cryo and diano c6, so unless we ever get decent cryo buffers that could compete with furina or yelan in the slot and with enough application for it i wouldnt even recommend that
i guess it can be good on kaveh and dehya as well, mostly burgeon on dehya which i would rather not play considering the several drawbacks she has when compared to thoma, and kaveh is just so unplayable and has such an unsynergistic element to his own kit that i kinda forget about him lol, atk is just bad since he has low multipliers and em is only for self healing which is alright but he doesn’t take any ownership of the dendro cores he detonates, so unless he’s played in like triple hydro i wouldn’t say it’s that great on him, er is probably a more important stat for him so only useable if you can already cover his energy needs
cinnabar is also kinda cope on chiori when harbinger of dawn exists, unless you play her in a furina team that doesn’t have enough healing to maintain the passive, and while sure the new craftable suggests possible new users I wouldn’t really count on it, cinnabar’s passive is way too specific and there’s also been several craftables released before that still don’t have any real users by now, but ironically enough that craftable might actually be better than cinnabar on chiori since it buffs all skill hits and burst as well, but we’ll have to wait and see once final version releases
was going through my inventory and saw a bow i completely forgot existed and since no one here seems to have noticed either that should tell you all about how good it is
im back anyways to tell about its performance, just in case
cloudforged – worse than slingshot on sethos, no one else can fully utilize it’s passive so it’s also worse than windblume or ibis piercer unless maybe you play tartaglia or yelan in nilou/kaveh teams (please dont)
This is most likely from fishing shop. Event rewards alternate between character / weapon, so they always start a new nation (version x.0) with a free character, then by the time of lantern rite (version x.4) they can give out Liyue character selector again.
You are aware that Lantern Rite is NOT tied to version X.4 but to real life date? In 2025 Chinese New Year will land on 29th of January which is 2nd phaze of 5.3 (we already had Lantern Rite in 1.3 as well). Same as main event doesn’t have to always happen in 1st phaze (Lantern Rite 2022 in 2nd phaze of 2.4).
if HP% why high base atk -_-
It’s the 2nd lowest so it could’ve been 44 but yeah it’s pretty bad
oh my god kokomi weapon. . .
I agreed with this. Kokomi or Barbara signature weapon!
it’s complete and utter garbage on both compared to other already available options lol
Second best f2p weapon for Neuvillette just dropped
the passive on this one is actually just ass tho, thank god this isn’t the craftable one
@Professional Goyim
Are you kidding? Passive Energy thing from Prototype Amber always better than just some white physical DMG every 15s.
Except, your Neuvillette has TOO MUCH ER or ability to produces 6 Water Droplets at once without using his burst.
So what is the second best f2p weapon then??
Then what is the second best f2p weapon for Neuviellette??
Just go for widsith or if you can buy bp and take sacrificial jade
Then what is the second best F2p weapon?
Go drink some water. You sound like a dehydrated person.
