  1. Prune Thoughts
    —————————–

How I see it, Prune seems to share some similarities to Jahoda and Illuga, the two previous 4* characters released in version Luna/6.X.

Like Jahoda, Prune is an hybrid Sub-DPS/Support that primarily uses the VV set. Like Illuga, she is primarily designed to support a single 5* main DPS character.

    ******************************

Prune’s synergy with Varka is obvious, but I want to focus a bit on how Prune will do with other characters. She doesn’t seem worth using outside of Varka teams until she is at C6, when she gets the 350 ATK bonus (approx. 1/3 of what Bennet can give with his burst). At this point, her most potent competition is Sucrose.

    *******************************
Sucrose raw damage (both off-field and on-field) is practically non-existent, but when the alchemist is at C6, her damage bonus is actually quite comparable (about 25% for non-hexerei, around 40% for hexerei for Sucrose, compared to up to 35% damage bonus for Prune). The big benefit is of course her teamwide EM boosting.

On the other hand Prune’s C6 attack bonus will be more useful in teams that don’t rely on EM as heavily, or if additional elemental application would be useful over a lengthy period.

My guess is that Prune’s best Non-Varka teams will be:

Mono Pyro (technically Tri-Pyro):This is due to EM being mostly useless but attack very so. This uses either an 5* Hexerei duo (Durin and Nicole) or an 4* budget (Bennet and Xiangling). For the last slot, nearly any Pyro Main DPS could be used. Klee and Lyney would probably benefit the most since it’s hard for them to take advantage of melt or vaporize.

Melt & Vaporize Driver teams: Lohen and Tartaglia (Childe) are on-field drivers to enable Melt and Vaporize for off-field DPS characters. In addition to the attack boosts, Prune will also help add additional Cyro and Hydro respectfully to make it easier for the off-field character to get the Melts/Vaps in. The same 5* Hexerei duo or 4* budget duo would be used in these teams.

    ********************************

In sum I do feel that in terms of value, Prune is a decent choice thanks to having a handful of teams that she is really useful in. I don’t believe she is as mediocre as many in the community are saying that she is, but I would not mind her getting further buffs later in the beta.

  2. Shes so silly billy, I’m probably not gonna use her since Im a 1.6 player and have more viable 5 stars, but she could be viable for noobs or f2ps.

    • at C6 she’s a little better than C0 Venti lol and at C2 she’s on par with Venti of course in Varka teams.

      • Need C6, an impossible 4k5 atk, burst every rotation with a 70 burst cost just to be a little better than C0 Venti is kinda bad tho. Atleast C6 Iansan has a decent gap compare to C0 Xilonen for Mavuika, wtf is this lol. And all of this is on sheet.
Not to mention Venti also provide qol like cc for aoe stage and energy refund, important for both Nicole and Durin burst. She will be much worse in practical.

        • it’s not impossible bro, she gets ATK from ascension, from Nicole and herself, and it’s really not difficult going full ATK% on artifacts, her ER is the issue, but you can slap fav on nicole and call it a day

this is why you use prune last before Varka in the rotation, you will fulfill her requirements more often than not
