You know she got done really dirty when every other character in Teyvat’s storyline trailer appeared on a banner in the first or second patch of their respective region and played an important role.
Then there’s Iansan, minimum screen time and still hasn’t gotten a banner yet with the archon story either finished or mostly completed.
I think the other reason is just this char isn’t dubbed to eng in last patches. It’s kinda bad for sales to make a banner with a numb hero. So they delay her as far as possible (mizuki in 5.4, varesa in 5.5 etc)

The future of English dub in Genshin (and possibly their other games) are looking bleak rn. From important characters not having any EN dubbing, to bringing out the WuWa VAs to voice the newer characters. I hope they bring them back as soon as possible, because I’m still out of the loop on why those VAs decided to go on strike :/
The voice actor’s union is striking for a variety of reasons. It’s complicated. It’s not a personal decision by any of the voice actors involved – the voice actors who continue to record for Genshin (and HYV’s other games) weren’t affiliated with the union in the first place, so they aren’t affected by the strike.
The frustrating thing is that HYV could, at any point, sign an agreement with the union and get all their VAs back. But that would require working under union rules and paying union rates, which is more expensive. They’ve apparently decided that they would rather do literally anything else.
What is the reason to carve into unreasonable requirements of the people who supported a boycott against you because there wasn’t a Wakanda in Natlan (or in Sumeru if we like to go even further)? We know Hoyoverse is no saint, but do we forget how many controversies our beloved Voice Actors have caused because they were losing the attention of their fans? I find it very hard to believe anything they say after causing so much trouble, sure there are a bunch of good ones, professionals, who do their job better than just voicing MHA episodes with a pitched voice but they are such a small number of people when seeing the overall picture. Also, don’t try fooling people with union stuff, they are state-controlled on the mainland.

I really don’t think HYV cares about how much they have to pay the VAs and they probably already pay them union rates or higher. They probably don’t want to be restricted to not being able to use non union VAs.
While it gets more nuanced than this, there are a couple very key points on why.
1) First and foremost, voice actors get treated very poorly just in general. They get paid less than they should and get asked to do more for the lower pay “Because all they do is talk”, which is BS because a *lot* of voice training and careful health management go into maintaining a professional’s voice. It’s not uncommon for a VA to turn down what could be a breakout or high paying role just because the role would involve lots of shouting and they don’t want to risk damaging their vocal chords. Voice actors deserve just as much pay and respect as physical live action actors.
2) A.I. replacements. The other major talking point is that voice actors need to be concerned with their voice likeness in a world of A.I.. Currently right now, what was generally seen as the ‘tipping point’ for this strike to start was that studios want to use A.I. to replicate the likeness of a VA so they only have to pay the VA for one day’s worth of work, and then just use the A.I. for every other instance of needing that person’s voice so they never have to pay the person again. One of the Union’s demands is that studios have to legally bind themselves to promises of not using A.I. to replace talent. If they’re going to hire a Union talent, there needs to be a rule that safeguards VAs from having A.I. copy their voice to use for free afterwards. The exact same safeguards that physical actors demand to not have their likeness replicated by A.I. and used in films without paying them.
I’m so tired with the lack of quality in the EN version. I hope Hoyo do a scorched earth: replace all EN VAs who are doing the strike.
Nobody should get a special treatment in the workforce, including VAs. They are not special. If you don’t work, you don’t get paid. If you don’t want to work, give the work to someone else who wants to work.
They quite literally want to work, the point is the company that employs them, wants to use the prerecorded data to create AI that would voice instead of the people, while using their base material, and not paying anything at all. It would be the same if a game developer created all the models, but the company afterwards, will use those models to create AI that can make them.
Just quit that company and find another that can support you needs, just like every job in every industry.
That’s the most innacurated thing i’ve ever read. First of all, they are not getting paid while they are on strike, and second: they are on strike for some reasons as someone has pointed out in a previous comment. You are saying there’s “lack of quality” in the EN version at the moment, but the thing is that if the strike does not succed the game is gonna get a lame IA voice FOREVER. They are fighting for their rights and the least we can do is support them.
So when they’re going to succeed? lol. At this rate, EN won’t have voice overs FOREVER. I’m so done of waiting and at this point, I don’t really care if the Traveller is no longer voiced by Zach. Man is probably making more money outside the VA works than me anyway, so I’m pretty sure he’ll live.
My understanding is that one of the studios they outsource the dubbing to refuse to sign an agreement to not use the Voice Actor Talent to train A.I replacements. Which is why only some of the English VAs are on strike, its the ones from that studio.
Not missing out on much, since the EN dub is fairly mid. Not terrible, but not amazing either.
Just switch to JP or CN for a while and enjoy a different experience. If they eventually bring back EN you can always switch, if they don’t, you’ll be used to the different language track already. Win-win.

Signora should have been playable! She kicked that guy and it was funni! Signora will be playable in 9.7 and she’ll be a pyro polearm user. Hoyo is a great company because they made dehya and she does 100s of dmg. New characters will be trash because of x.
And venti will get buffed by being able to swirl every element.

Signora was the cause for Winter Night’s Lazzo and she briefly appeared in the Arlecchino animation (along with Scaramouche since neither of them ever got shown in their fatui coats), I don’t think she got any other important content
This animation could just be a goodbye to Capitano or he could come back later, either is possible but he’s not likely in Natlan

One weapon requires Swirl and the other requires Bond of Life. Truly a dreadful day for anyone that sees these heavily Niche weapons.
Well the Swirl weapon isn’t that bad, as any Anemo catalyst can take advantage of the massive amount of EM (well maybe except Xianyun who doesn’t trigger lots of swirl), and all other catalysts (except for Barbara and Nahida whose Ults do no hits) can still get 128 EM, which is among the highest you can get from any weapon. Sigewinne’s bow on the other hand, really is only useful on herself.
Eh technically Furina’s sword is also only really useful on herself – on anyone else it’s a CDmg stat stick, and will require her to be present to take advantage of the passive, in which case you might as well put it on her to begin with.

They were a leak about a Xianyun/Furina banner and I was hyped to get one weapon (or two if lucky) for them but seeing Sigewinne instead makes me kinda depressed.

From Goatrina peak storytelling to a random biker Mary Sue. Did Hoyo fire their Fontaine writers or something?
I don’t understand why they abandonned their own scenario. Mav is supposed to loose power to the point she needed to sacrifice millenium items to do small things, then now Mary Sue can do everything she want whenever she want without any drawback. I wanted to see her struggle a bit, to feel the Traveler (finally) usefull saving the day. But no, the six heroes are just batteries/cameos and Traveler could have been sleeping it wouldn’t have change anything…

The guy never had a face. Nor a vision reveal like the writing was there. Not to mention the constant “I’ll do anything for natlan” speech he said like 5 different times.
But who knows he isn’t “dead” no voice line changes from the other harbingers. And he does exist in a perpetual limbo. He MIGHT become playable in like 6.x or 7.x
But yeah figured he was going to “die”. But hey at least his was more impactful than fire “kick that alcoholic bard in the nuts” witch was.
His soul with the rest of them is now in ley lines, and would never be able to come back for a long time. Plus his body is an infinite batter y for the Lord of the afterlife, so if he moves or does anything one will die and disappear. Most of the Harbingers do not know anything yet, plus we only have 2 in the game, one is still in Fontaine, and another is back in Sneznaya.

I’ve heard that it’s “cosmo” or something? But I doubt, but wouldn’t be to shocked if they came up with a new element, technically they have been teasing it. Dunno if they would do it so soon though? Like dain ain’t pyro, but he’s pyro? If that makes any sense. Every time he’s used his element it’s a blue-black flame. Skirk hasn’t show anything, but I figured it would be something along the lines of childe’s foul legacy. Which is mostly hydro but she gives me electro vibes. Dunno why.

Probably beating a dead horse but Iansan really got done dirty. I wouldn’t be surprised if they just decide to not make her playable at all. Well that’s a bit of an exaggeration but there isn’t denying that they dropped the ball with her. (And a lot of other shit too, Genshin deserves most of the negativity it gets)
