      • we do have an idea of their scalings already (Kachina is Chiori powercreep lol) and even then the craftables are still bad because they only work on like 2 characters or there’s other very good options already, but yeah I’m definitely the one talking out of my ass

  1. now I’m curious to see how many people like me are literally horrified by his gameplay. Since 1.0 I’ve never been less interested in a new chara, and I thought that sigewinne and his syringe was the pinnacle of cringeness, for which I skipped her without any effort… and now? large pixels and dinosaurs? are we playing pokemon minecraft? what shit is this? attacking with a surf board?
    idk guys, call me hater or whatever you prefer i don’t care, this is terrible to me.. but at least my primos are still safe.
    I hope that pyro archon will have “old style” animation, because now we can say that until fontaine we have a totally different genshin.

        your answer has no point, and assumes that 1) I said “generic”, when i didn’t, 2) even if it was, that “generic” means a copy of something else.
        First of all, after 4 years of genshin, you can see how your statement is a bullshit, and there’s no need to do what you wrote to make other wonderful new charas (see arlecchino). Second, you can still use a criteria, unless you want to say that everything new is good because it’s different and by that is enough to justify it. At this condition I can be a nurse and use a syringe, but I can be a cook and throw onion, and being an undertaker and throw corpses. So why not using farts as well? why not being fat and use belly? you can go one with bullshit like this if you just want “new gameplay”.
        But I’m wasting time, from your answer you’ll not understand anything.

        to others, we’ve had pokemon since mondstadt, but a better graphics would be a better experience to me. Mega pixels is beyond any stupidity to me, especially in a game which is so good looking

          Have you not seen video games for the last 20 years? Pixels and retro graphics and bright pretty colors have been something people like forever
          Look at games like Hotline Miami or va1-halla or Dead Cells which all use different forms of pixilated graphics and are great looking games

  2. Suprisingly, no Pyro Traveller in this version yet. Guessing the Pyro Archon doesn’t want the Traveller using their power for themselves or Pyro Traveller is actually broken so they held it off until 5.2.

    • There’s two options:
      The pyro traveler is still ass, so they just delay it to find a way to disappoint us even further after hydro traveler
      or
      The pyro traveler is good, but gets released alongside the archon that instantly powercreeps them

  3. The Nightsoul mechanic is quite unique, like nothing we’ve ever seen before in Genshin, but I think I’ve got the gist of it through the CN text.

    * Natlan characters can gain Nightsoul Points and enter the Nightsoul Blessing state whenever they use an Elemental Skill. A Nightsoul Bar appears on the side of the current character.
    * Whenever there are areas with a Phlogiston (Lava) Mechanism, they can use a Nightsoul Transmission, where characters can gain special movement behaviours whenever they are within the mechanism’s range.
    * When there are Natlan characters in your team, when the character deals Elemental DMG (not Physical DMG) to enemies, a Nightsoul Burst will be triggered. The Nightsoul Burst has a cooldown. The more Natlan characters in your team, the shorter the CD duration.

    The Nightsoul mechanics are quite similar to the Forte Circuit mechanics in WuWa. Can’t wait for more Natlan characters that utilise Nightsoul more effectively.

        • i was reading the kit while waiting for response, and i saw that Kinich, Mualani, and Kachina’s skill damage has that Nightsoul Atribute… is this what they meant by Nightsoul Burst?

          • It could be, now that you think of it. I don’t know why EN words it like that but later in the week, the translations will be more clarified for us to understand. Just assume that dealing DMG with the Nightsoul Attribute triggers a Nightsoul Burst for now.

    • “Quite unique” only by genshin standards.
      It’s a resource mechanic. Which doesn’t have a real gameplay mechanic tied to it. Which makes it effectively pointless, since the basic point is to tie them together to promote a gameplay objective.
      All it promotes is stacking natlan characters. Which promotes purchase of the newer characters.

      So, it’s quite a unique sales tactic.
