Artifact Affix | Song of Days Past
2-Piece | Healing Bonus +15%.
4-Piece | When the equipping character heals a party member, the Yearning effect will be created for 6s, which records the total amount of healing provided (including overflow healing). When the duration expires, the Yearning effect will be transformed into the “Waves of Days Past” effect: When your active party member hits an opponent with a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst, the DMG dealt will be increased by 8% of the total healing amount recorded by the Yearning effect. The “Waves of Days Past” effect is removed after it has taken effect 5 times or after 10s. A single instance of the Yearning effect can record up to 15,000 healing, and only a single instance can exist at once, but it can record the healing from multiple equipping characters. Equipping characters on standby can still trigger this effect. |

So does this thing have a cool down after you eat the buff? By that I mean, do I have to wait x period of time after consuming the buff before it will start tracking the healing again?
Not the best set.
But it’s usable.
It’s not a revolution like the geo set they released or the golden troupe (what the fuck) but if you’re using it with the right characters, it can give surprising results.
Short explanation: It really shines on character that scales off DMG Bonus rather than high raw base damage.
Like Yoimiya or wanderer with their absurd Normal DMG bonus
Basic detailed explanation :
Tested with the MC with Phys goblet and Aquila Favonia (99.6% phys bonus) against a fatui duelist
1st Basic attack:
before buff : 1270(2447 crit)
After buff : 2584(4980crit)
It doesn’t sound exciting but it can give quite…. peculiar results.
The damage only adds to mentioned attacks in the set. Not items.
The Explosion from the Aquila Favonia doesn’t get better with the proc and the same apply to other weapons (like Isshin sword)
If you exploit your enemies weakness and stack debuffs + buffs it can really give a huge boost to your 5 next attacks.
so is this good on anyone????
This set will hardly beat out any others, maybe only Deepwood on aggravate support Baizhu.
Kokomi and Qiqi already have Ocean Hued Clam or Tenacity. Bennett has Noblesse or Instructors, Maidens if with Furina on non-quickswap. Jean and Sayu have VV. Barbara has Clam. Yaoyao has Tenacity but could use this set if bursts regularly. Noelle has Marechaussee hunter with Furina, Husk, and Gladiators. Mika is pretty much Noblesse since he wont build Clam that effectively. If Mika can heal around 8k every 2.5 seconds, then the set can be usable on him but stacks consumed far too quickly. Charlotte uses Tenacity which leaves Dori for those who attempt to build her with this artifact set, but even then, Clam is pretty strong with her.
So what is left is basically Dori, Mika, and Baizhu where this set competes. Absolutely sucks that the effect counter is shared amongst the party rather than individual effect counters per party member. Would have been super ideal given the low amount of effect hits it gives. It would probably be an artifact set most supportive of short burst healers that support stats outside ATK rendering ToM and Noblesse worthless and Clam uptime very short. We don’t have many of those. Tenacity is valid for yaoyao in aggravate, Ocean hued Clam is like biS on healing Qiqi and on field Kokomi, and Noblesse/Instructor is just glued to Bennett while Kuki remains with Gilded or EM set.
yikes
Song of Days Past (in simpler terms) by Google Bard:
Imagine you’re playing a game and your character has a special ability called Yearning. This ability activates whenever you heal a party member and lasts for 6 seconds. While Yearning is active, it remembers the total amount of healing you do, even if it’s more than what the character actually needs (called overflow healing).
Once the 6 seconds are over, Yearning transforms into another ability called Waves of Days Past. This ability lasts for 10 seconds and does two things:
– Increases the damage of your Normal, Charged, Plunging, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst attacks by 8% of the total healing Yearning recorded. Basically, the more you heal, the more damage your attacks do!
– This damage bonus gets applied a total of 5 times before Waves of Days Past disappears. So, you get a total of 5 boosted attacks after the healing period.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
– Yearning can only remember up to 15,000 healing points.
– Only one Yearning effect can be active at a time, even if multiple characters have the ability.
– Even if your character isn’t currently active (on standby), they can still trigger Yearning by healing other party members.
In simpler terms, healing your teammates strengthens your attacks for a short period. The more you heal, the stronger your attacks become, with a limit on how much healing can be stored and how many attacks can be boosted.
Am I seeing this right?
So you only get 1,200 damage bonus to any damage source up to 5 so a total of 6000 additive damage?
Does it scale with anything? Levels ?
What is going on here?
They’ve lowered the quota to FIVE? Lowering the time inbetween active phases to 6s is nice, but what the hell is this even supposed to do? It’s around 70% of a Yunjin buff now that it’s up to 8% of 15,000 but it’s practically worthless because it gets spent almost instantly. What’s even the point of a buff that tiny when you could be launching 27k bubbles every 10s in an AOE instead?
Well, actually that was my initial thought, but then I figured it’d be worth it to actually try and crunch out the numbers. This actually isn’t as bad as it looks for an artifact set (especially if you’re running a Furina comp). Don’t get me wrong, this godforsaken thing either needs a quota increase, or another shortening on that time before the buff goes off, but it’s actually a solid boost. For instance… Let’s say you’re running Qiqi/Furina/Raiden. At level 90, with 4pc Emblem (ER Sands) and a level 90 R1 Engulfing, she’s got around 290 ER and 75% Electro damage bonus. Add 27% bonus burst damage from her skill, about 72% bonus damage from Emblem, and then Furina’s 75% from her own burst, and that gives Raiden about 250% bonus damage. The buff from this set is 1200 damage at max healing. That cracks out to 4200 bonus damage for 5 hits, which is only 21000 damage every 6s that still has to go through enemy defense, while Clam has an easy 27000 easily boosted by Superconduct to hit even harder. However, the bonus damage from this set can still crit. Even with relatively standard crit stats (let’s assume 50 cr and 100 cd), that’s about a 50% increase to the average damage, bumping our numbers up to 31500 damage every 6 seconds. …And that’s still not really much more damage than Clam, especially depending on enemy defense values. After all, there’s still the time it takes to SPEND those hits, so it’s really more like around 31500 damage every 8-9 seconds. But with any kind of defense shred (Nahida or Raiden C2, etc), it definitely jumps up in power, as well as with higher crit stats or amplifying reactions.
All this to say yeah, my initial feeling was more or less right. This isn’t really worth missing out on big bubble numbers; it’s only better for if you REALLY want to see your on-field DPS hit numbers as big as possible, and even then it’s still kinda iffy.
is this new set for a fully healing focused Furina I’m assuming? since they clearly made it LOOK like its for her… so I have to heal 30k in 10 seconds for the effect to then start taking place and be over in… 10 hits? and then I have to heal for 30k and wait ten more seconds for round 2?
