Item Story

"There is an appointed time for all things to live and die, just like the ceaseless cycles of night and dawn."
"May the stories within this lamp grant you dreams worth looking forward to."

At the moment the palace crumbled, the girl who had never known "light" heard her whisper inside a dream.
Through a mist of tears, the child who had long decided to depart in dreams caught sight of her gentle benevolence.

In the reflection of the serene moonlight, the verdant lamp told of the silhouette of the stars and an everlasting melody—
A dancer with emerald eyes planting light kisses onto silk dripping with nectar, brightly colored fish pirouetting in pearly clear waters,
A moonlight musician guiding the Jinn's torches, singing songs of the gilded fortress in a sea of sand and pomegranate-colored strings,
An astute sailor setting off on a grand voyage, seeking nothing else but the singing voice from a dream and the blooming gardens on the far shore.

The fallen palace illuminated by silent light, encircled by breathtaking dreamscapes from a thousand worlds,
The soft forest breeze clearing away the dust gathered on the homeward path, guiding lost children away from the palace, no longer tranquil as it had been.
As the dawning light filtered through fragmented spaces between leaves, that verdant lamp which had told stories of a thousand nights' dreams began to fade:
It was only when she looked back, standing between dreams and reality, that the blind girl realized that there was no return, for dawn had broken.

Thereafter, the lamp inside the dream never flickered again, and the flow of time swallowed up the dreams of bygone nights,
But the birds still sang as they embraced the break of dawn. They sang of the stories that blossomed brilliantly like a field of flowers,
Bringing courage, hope, and happiness to the children who had never had the chance to witness a dream,
Weaving a never-ending song of a thousand nights, lighting up the moments before the long-awaited daybreak.

After traversing a thousand dreams, until the nightingale no longer sang, until the fading sun fell beneath the horizon once again,
The traveler saw at journey's end that verdant lamp, that faraway homeland of old,
Where the dew-covered rose still swayed softly in the moonlit breeze, waiting for her to tell a new story:
"Though the memories of past nights have all but faded, we shall continue to sing songs of praise for the sweet dreams that have yet to unfold."

  1. The theorycrafting team has finished their analysis: this is the worst 5* weapon yet for damage compared to 4* alternatives. An easy skip since Nahida is also underwhelming for damage.

  2. You can probably use this weapon for a grand total of 305 em with nahida and dendro traveler since resonance supplies lost em from 4 piece gilded dreams, and then if you get the +30 bloom em buff you bave 565 base em on your hands, then 187 em sands for a total of 752 em, nahida ascends em so you now have 865 em, and then pray for good substats, i guess

  3. A question on this

“Additionally, all nearby party members other than the equipping character will have their Elemental Mastery increased by 40. Multiple such effects from multiple such weapons can stack.”

    Does that phrase mean
    a) 40 x3(from it’s previous passive)
    b) 40 x 2 or 3 (depending on the highest stack on the previous passive); or
    c) 40 x 1, 2, 3 or 4 (depending on how many from your team has the same weapon)

    • From what i can understand its the C situation. While having equipped this weapon everyone will have +40 EM but the character itself. So if 4 players use this weapon they all gonna have a maximium of +120 EM (40×3) bonus.

  4. i like how they keep making crap weapons so often
well not that bad in themselves but considering you have to spend many gems…
idk take mistsplitter for ex, how broken it is for every dps sword unit
and take donut or khaj, which are supposed for their koko and nilou (or kuki ok)
this weapon is for.. ? sucrose? lisa? which unit could benefit from?
it’s very stupid for their sales, because if it was a universal catalyst or a much better one i could be tempted to pull, but it seems very mild to me, hence fk it, if i search a catalyst im gonan wait for scara’s weapon, which seems a mistsplitter catalyst

    • This is Nahida’s signature weapon. They don’t have to make a weapon suitable for every single character!

    • Well it’s the character’s signature weapon. It’s supposed to benefit Nahida, not a dps. If you want to build dps, there’s Lost Prayer. This weapon is really good for EM catalysts and reactions, so if you can’t understand that, I’m sorry. No one’s forcing you to pull for the weapon either, so don’t crap on it.

  5. Can anyone confirm what situations makes Kagura’s Verity better? Planning on running Cyno/Kazu/Beidou/Nahida + Dendro Set. EM/EM/CRIT

    • Kagura’s will be better only when Nahida is your on-field dps, using your elemental skill a lot. By your comp, Cyno will be most of the time on field, and you will not proc Kagura’s passive.

  6. I think I might have puzzled out why the passive ability is logically backwards. Nahida scales off primarily EM and this weapon is to pad her numbers. Hear me out…

On a Pure Dendro Team (4 Dendro) Nahida would most likely use a DPS (Crit/Crit DMG) Dendro Set or another DPS focused set. The excess EM would not help the rest of the team so she would be lacking EM in this case. However, according to leaks she scales disproportionately towards EM. The weapon will give her some of that missing EM in this team.

Conversely, in a Reaction Team (2 or more different elements team members) she will most likely be on a heavy EM build where she would be missing Dendro Dmg Bonus in all likelihood. Thus the weapon’s Elemental DMG Bonus will provide what is missing.

In this context it makes sense to me, but I’m not a theorycrafter. Let’s wait till release and hear what they have to say about its potential. Heck Hoyo might even reverse the buffs on release lol who knows.

  7. Huh? Is this worded correctly? “Increases EM if there are characters of the SAME element” – shouldnt it be the opposite? Why would you want EM if you have the same elements?

Look at GIlded Dreams – logical, because you would be triggering reactions with different elements so you want EM more. While for this weapon – imagine 4 dendro team: why would u want EM??

    • Just pair her with 1 dendro character for the dendro synergy which gives nahida and the team more em (and we all know she scales off em). as for the set, obviously your not gonna use gilded dreams on her, so you would use the dendro set instead to amplify her dendro dmg alot

    • This is an insane weapon for anyone thinking its bad, its literally a jack of all trades weapon, not only does it give your character a lot of em it also provides you dmg bonuses or some extra. and not only does it increase your em it also increases your parties em. a free 40 em for your entire team is not something to scoff at, this is a great overall dmg increase for your team. i can see this being use on pretty much any reaction based catalyst dps since its not restricted to just dendro characters.

  8. is this weap good?
it just have 40 more EM than sacrificial
also only buff equiped char by 32-96 EM
    and pt member by 40EM

meanwhile nilou’s weap at 70k HP buff herself around 400EM and my pt member around 140EM

does this ‘increase the equipping character’s DMG Bonus from their Elemental Type by 10%.’ part is the OP one?

    • And also buff elemental damage, with nahida and 3 other elements different than dendro, the buff of dendro damage ir more than a dendro cup, with 2 it´s a free dendro cup.

    • Thats what it seems like, if you have 3 other characters of a different element in your team, the user gets 30% more elemental damage so Nahida will do 30% more Dendro damage at R1.

      • a lot of people aren’t seeing that both the em boost and elemental dmg bonus stack up to 3 times so you can run i recommend dendro traveler, Nahida and one or two elements that react with dendro like Electro or hydro plus nahidas burst also benefits from that
