At the very least it should increase Elemental Damage by 10% per stack to a total of 30% and not just 24% skill dmg so it would improve her whole kit’s damage and make it a bit more useful for other characters.
I mean Mistsplitter gives you unconditional 12% and stacked a total of 40%. Light of Foliar Incision can be used on a few characters and Key of Khaj-Nisut is almost as good and buffs the whole team.
Add to that the fact that it will be running on the same banner as Baizhu’s donut and even the giga whales will be skipping this weapon if it doesn’t see some major buffs.
Mistsplitter would suck on Furina in specific because of the high base attack and low crit dmg%. It’s also stuck at 2 stacks unless you have C6 or some other character granting her an infusion to proc the last stack. Light of Foliar Incision’s passive is also impractical to proc, it would just be a crit stat stick.
Key and Jade Cutter are fine, as both have low base attack and high secondary stat. Although I don’t know why anyone would have Key if they don’t also have Nilou.
Most people should just stick to Festering/Fav/Pipe tbh
To me that’s the problem, that the weapon is so specific to be used only on Furina and yet it’s barely even better than free generic 4* weapons.
So the only people going all the way to C6 and trying to maximize her like me should even consider the weapon BUT THEN half of the passive does nothing for C6 hence why it should be a boost to elemental dmg instead of skill dmg.
Well, I’m not sure about 2 stacks. Does ousia/pneuma attack count as normal attack? It is dealing hydro dmg, so theoretically it should give 3 stacks with 1s downtime (stack lasts 5s, arkhe normal attack has 6s cd). Other than that I agree.
Actually those who had key are those who wished for Jadecutter as well, both weapons being in the same banner some time ago. Key is pretty competitive for a support Furina.
I did some math and it turned out that for Furina with a HP Cup, the signature is just about equal to the key in terms of damage. Key even a litle bit better lol. But for Furina with a Hydro Cup, the signature loses about 30% of damage. And it’s exclusive of the key’s self and team EM buff
“I did some math” and Key is about 15% worse when you’re a virgin, and 55% worse if you’re talking out of your ass on the internet without a source.
I also did some math in google sheets and if I didn’t do any major mistake, splendor gets slightly better dmg on hydro cup(with 21,6% hp and 6,2% CDMG), but as we go with hp on more artifacts (first hp on cup [with 14% CDMG], then on circlet instead of CDMG [with 7% CDMG, and the previous circlet had 15,2% hp]) the wider difference become (although best configuration is hydro cup and CDMG for key and hp cup and CDMG for splendor), which make sense, because key is graduately losing its advantage on hp field and losing dmg bonus. Of course it all comes up to substats on artifacts and I didn’t count in EM effects.
Let me know if something does not add up,
I did some meth too… Wait you guys did math? Oh
Well, Im fucked up
This is drippy as fuck but honestly for an archon weapon it doesn’t look that good. It seems way too specific to Furina, while the other archon weapons (Raiden, Venti, Nahida, Zhongli’s one does admittedly suck) can work on a lot of different characters. While this looks too tailor-made for her specifically, the only other character I can think of to work with this is Nilou, and even then Nilou’s signature is ridiculously busted for her from what I’ve seen. So, there’s no point to slap this on her instead of her sig. I suppose Fontaine characters seem to have the “decrease own Hp” gimmick. So maybe it’ll get more use in the future, but it still sucks that unlike Nahida/Raiden/Venti. Her weapon isn’t busted for a bunch of units from the start.
(Something funny is that the only sword Fontaine Char currently released is Lynette, who DOES decrease her own HP. But she doesn’t scale off max HP funnily enough. Maybe Clorinde will get massive use out of this thing or something like that)
Lmao Git Gud
Looks like I have to wait her weapon rerun. Don’t want to risk another trash weapon.
Nahida’s weapon it definitely more niche then this. Only Nahida and possibly Yae Miko can use it efficiently.
There are better 5-star swords to roll for but this sword is still a crit dmg stat stick.
Also unless you’re always using a shielder it’s really easy to lose hp and/or heal in any fight than most people are making it out to be, for characters to have 100%~80% passive up time.
Yea. I’d argue you could probably slot the Nahida weapon on someone like Sucrose, or maybe Mona and of course Yae I could maybe see it working SORT OF on Baizhu if you need the extra EM. But this is just conjecture I don’t really know how it would work in practice, since I don’t have the weapon. Or most of these characters.
On another note, seems like other stat scaling DPS’s might become a bit of a trend. So Nahida weapon could kind of be a substitute for Thrilling Tales if we get more Non attack scaling Dps’s. Who could benefit a bit from the EM.
Back onto this sword assuming we get even 1 or 2 HP scaling sword characters this could absolutely work for them. (It can work on Nilou from what I’ve seen since the Bountiful cores damage the active character) The slight annoying part is that it needs the HP decrease for the damage buff. Not a problem for bloom comps but other characters might not like that. Since you need, the equipping character + party members to decrease for the full buffs.
(Also, quick note although it is easy to get hit, you’d have to strike a balance between getting the passive and not ending up staggered for too long which could end up as a DPS loss or dying. Which can be annoying when a good chunk of abyss stages doesn’t have “trash” enemies for you to easily stack on. But this is just my opinion of course it will probably work better ingame)
this weapon good for nilou tho.. nilou as DPS with bloom team, Nilou HP decreased because of bloom dmg.. so its perfect for nilou DPS
A reminder to all people who want to skip 4.2 avoid Baizhu’s and wait till 4.6 to get this sword
Kokomi will have a chance to come back 4.6 since her last banner is 3.8
You can’t escape the Healing Donuts.
If you want to pull this, it’s now or never
I’m already preparing to spin her sword now because I’ll be spinning on Nevillette’s reran from now on, although it’s still scary to get Baiju’s catalyst
What are your predictions about key of khaj nisut banners?
Admittedly I’d rather have the Donut than the Matcha Donut since I actually have Kokomi and she’s triple crowned and I love the aesthetic of her weapon
I don’t see how this weapon can be considered bad for her. You start with her E and wait for one drain – it’s necessary for her base E effect. Then you switch to your supports/subs and let each be drained at least once which triggers the 2nd secondary which in turn triggers the 1st secondary. You now have the full effect and after switching to your main dps you also have the full E dmg effect. It’s insane – just for her but definitly pretty good.
Sorry if I sound noob. But isn’t Al-Haitham weapon (Light of Foliar Incision
) works better with her? If she’s C2, I mean? What do you guys think?
Prolly wouldn’t be “bad” if you had the weapon already, since it’s a 5* weapon, but generally would not better. LoFI would require you to stack EM on Furina, which isn’t otherwise one of her primary stats. Base increase on r0 for SoSW is 24% skill damage increase, if you maintain 3 stacks, which should be easy.
As EM isn’t a primary stat for Furina, you likely won’t be running a sands/circlet with EM as the main stat, so you’ll probably only have a few hundred EM at most, if you have artifacts with high EM substats. If you assume 200 EM, LoFI at r0 would add 120% of that, or 240 damage.
That means 200 EM with LoFI it would only give you an equal damage increase if Furina is dealing 1,000 damage per Elemental Skill hit. At skill rank 1, the lowest damaging hit for her skill does 3.23% of her max HP, meaning 1,000 damage would require 30,960 HP. At skill rank 9, 1,000 damage would require 18,215 HP.
As such, at higher character levels/skill ranks, it would be very difficult for LoFI to provide a better increase than even the lowest-damaging hits of her skill, using her signature weapon.
Thanks a lot bro. I did not pay attention to the EM requirement which made my whole point wrong huhu.. Then what would you suggest for 5/4 stars weapon for her other than her weapon banner? because I won’t have enough to C2 her, Arlecchino and both of their weapons.
I guess wolf-fang (the new battlepass sword) will be the best 4*. For 5*, hard to go wrong with jade cutter/mistsplitter, but I don’t think she will be able to fully utilize them, and I guess wolf-fang at r5 will be better.
Noted! I will R5 Wolf Fang then, though I have both Jade cutter/mistsplitter but as you mentioned, I don’t feel that they really can fully work with her.
Thanks bunch for everyone <3
Her signature even at R1 aside from 88% crit dmg, with passive of 24% skill dmg and 36% hp (full stacks) is still better even against R5 wolf-fang, the HP% is invaluable on pure hp-scaling dmg such as neuvillete & yelan (and these have high base hp stats)
Jade cutter is the gives 44% crit rate instead of 88% crit dmg with 20% hp, the extra flat atk bonus is useless with furina
Nilou weapon has great hp sword but no crit value and ER on it
Also furina’s buff provides massive % dmg bonus which makes % dmg bonus less impactful unless uses an hp goblet over hydro goblet, but the main issue in Wolf passives can only be trigger on-field (will work by constantly switching to furina within 10s but its kinda clunky) , still, Wolf has good crit stats and easy to get 1 copy if you can afford it
This is why for 4-star Festering Desire is very good on her due to her ER needs (45% ER), its passive is 32% skill dmg and 12% crit rate on skill (R5) with no conditions, however its an event-weapon (so impossible for new players atm)
The closer one to this is the 4-star Fishing-reward weapon 45% ER, with 16% crit rate on skill + 32% extra ER over 5s (R5)
this weapon already niche and now new leak said Furina’s skill is snapshot so it’s even worse
please buff please! This is too drip to make it bad
I feel like key of khaj nisut or primordial jade cutter will be better options for off field DPS or DPS Furina…this weapon plays on her kit but weapon banners are NOT nice so I dont see the point in dumping primos into this weapon. it is not useful on anyone else…
According to my math they are not better. Key is only slightly worse, but jade cutter is slightly worse than festering desire. Of course I’m speaking of skill dmg. If you want more info about artifacts I used in calculations, I wrote about them in reply to Yori, that was claiming he did some math.
God this weapon is so trash, why couldn’t they just copy Neuvillette’s weapon entirely instead of half-āssed like this
QQ pls
Great for Nilou hydro carry
