Item Story
This story takes place thousands of years ago, in an era after the foolish God-King was buried by the sandstorms. Mortal cities scattered across the land, amongst which Tulaytullah, where men and women of wisdom gathered and resided, was the most outstanding. The city was dotted with buildings roofed with sapphire domes and adorned with emerald gardens of blooming trees and flowing fountains. In the times following the God-King's departure, this fortunate city still glowed with wisdom and prosperity. People say that a warrior named Xiphos once lived in this city of sapphire and emerald. Xiphos was adept at wielding his double-edged sword, and he saved many a maiden from monster attacks, snatching many treasures from them in the process. In an ancient Tighnarian lore, his sword was indwelt by a twisted, cruel Jinni, Which was why the blade was not dulled but rather sharpened by slaughters, not smudged but instead brightened by blood. "My dearest Master, let me feast on that rosy juice, indulge me with the crimson brew." "My affection gushes forth only for you, like the daughter of grapevines entertains the tipplers with her bloody sacrifice." "So long as you own my affection, and the moon shines on your ever-youthful face," "So long as your foes hold affection for this world, and have not forgotten their mothers' names, you shall be a warrior unmatched." Later on, the swordsman adored by the Jinni of moonlight would encounter an exiled foreign wanderer. The wanderer had accepted silver coins, blood money from kings opposed to Tulaytullah, and he shouldered their grudges and hatred against the hero. Thus they who should have become friends at some bar became foes in battle, fighting each other to the death with the moonlight as their witness. In the fight, their blades were bathed in ruby wine while the overripe pomegranate burst, vital, vivid red pouring from the rupture... The deadly duel finally settled. The pale moon cast its cold light upon the winner and the defeated alike. "Whichever direction the wind blows, there is never a single ripple in the cup of life." "The three departed goddesses had long determined the heroes' fate, even if they could never fathom it themselves." The wanderer took the moonlit sword, picked up the bloodstained silver coins, and trod in silence toward the distant rainforest. Thus deprived of Xiphos' protection, the city lost its luster and withered away in the following years. Its buildings and gardens were ground down into the dirt along with its destiny, and then the howling desert gales consigned them to oblivion. Ultimately, the black key and the young prince's quest to rejuvenate his kingdom both sank into the sand's embrace... |

At r5 the calculations should be (if 1000 EM) 1,000×0.104% = 1.04 energy. Is this really right? If so that’s really bad. It is basically nothing.
I have seen other people say it is 1,000×0.104 = 104 energy which is awesome. However, in the the description of the weapon, it states 0.104% (as in procent) so which is the correct calculation?
The answer is 1000x.104, the same way Kazuha’s and Yae’s EM dmg% passives work.
Since energy recharge is always expressed as a % there is no need to divide it by 100 to convert it to decimal. Just multiply the em with the passive as is.
ER is a percentage value. You get at R5 0.104 ER per 1 EM point, so the it’s 1000×0.104 = 104% ER
Thank you guys so much. Definitely helped clear up any confusion. 🙂
So, this sword is exactly what I need for my Traveler build, atm I am having Sac sword on my Dendro Traveler because the burst is very costy and I have no other decent dendro char to generate energy for him.
This means that I can 100% focus on building EM and forget about ER.
imagine a full team of these lmao
Not every character can reach 1k em, but it’s still something like +170 ER if everyone in the party is equipped and decked out full EM
And if it does stack with itself for 2 seconds every rotation, that’s about +340 during that period
440 total ER, and that’s without artifacts or character ascension stats
The amount of people coping that this r5 didn’t just powercreep freedom sworn in most of its uses.
at least it’s a gacha-limited 4* as consolation *cope*. FS havers best start hoping it gets nerfed before live
There’s cases for both
In teams with infusion dps characters, Freedom sworn likely results in better overall dps because of the damage% bonus, and the party-wide attack buff is also nice in most teams. But if you miss the timing and end up doing a rotation while it’s on cooldown, you miss out on quite a bit. 8 seconds of downtime takes a bit, but should conceivably be a pretty natural rotation.
The team-wide ER bonus is better for quick-swap burst dps teams, allowing other party members on the team to mostly ignore stacking ER on their own artifacts. Moonlight has perfect uptime so no missing any rotations here.
You thinking this power crept freedom sworn is coping
Yeah on Raiden, or quickswaps it pwns freedom sworn
However if ur on like any normal/charge atk elemental infusion main dps like yoim/ayato/hutao etc its much worse
thinking 16% na bonus is enough to put FS above it without considering the fact that 30% er is about 5 stat rolls to the entire team and 12 to the wielder.
compare 16% na dmg% that can be diluted on your carry and 20% attack that not every character benefits much from (i.e tao/Yelan/Kok etc) to dropping 30% er requirements for your ENTIRE team and the extra damage share Kaz gets in teams where he would have needed ER sands. It has literally no proc conditions since you can just wait 10s at the start of the chamber if it resets on character deployment, it stacks with other copies of itself AND elegy which FS cant. the ER% share also has the possibility to interact with things like emblems ER% to burst damage and frees up weapon choices for energy starved characters
not going to bother trying to beat the fact that 30% er drop can be directly translated to more offensive stats on most characters over peoples head. FS has part of its budget (na damage buff) solely on one character which is pretty for some showcases but isnt universal (i.e raiden doesnt do NA damage). xiphos is a full team buff through and through so it ends up reflecting better on team dps in most cases. First week gone with no nerf, if it releases as is without any nerfs or conditions you’ll see how much it’ll be spammed in team building
Is this translation correct? this is a crazy sharpening, something is wrong with it
is it good with kazuha…?
wtf this thing is fucking broken
I AGREE
damn, it’s a solid sword for kazuha. on r1, assuming he has 850 EM (which is really easy to get) he can get 44.2% ER for himself and share 13.3% ER for your team. on r5 you multiply everything by 2, and it gives him 88.4% ER and shares 26.6% ER. Basically, this sword solves 2 problems other swords couldn’t solve: EM and ER. It would’ve been enough if it gave ER only to character equipping this, but no, it also shares 30% of it to other party members almost CONSTANTLY. Why would you use Favonius then, if you already get almost the same ER from R3 of this sword, share some of it to the team and…. YOU ALSO HAVE EM FOR THE BUFF. Best sword for Kazuha 100%
But kazuha has no problems with the ER, the sword would be better if it also gave ATK % like the claymore and the catalyst.
That’s outright false, Kazuha has ER issues in the majority of his teams. On top of that, giving ATK instead of ER isn’t even close to being better. More ER means less ER subs, more offensive substat rolls. That’s just more DPS in multiple ways.
If your kazuha has em issues then your using him improperly.
Sooooo…Put one on Kazuha, Dendro Traveler, Kuki and Xinqiu and never have energy issues again? Cause assuming r1 and like 800 em on kazu and kuki and 300 on the other two thats like 41.6 er for kuki and kazu and 15.6 for lumine and XQ not counting the party wide er buffs which should be something like 34.32% er total.
I doubt it will solve the ER issues for Kuki or Dendro traveler since they will need LOTS of EM to get the ER bonus. It makes perfect since for Kazuha.
What’s even the point of putting the buff on a timer if its duration is longer than the cooldown and it triggers off-field?
the fact that u can stack the buff every 10 seconds
Because you can have multiple instance so for two second the effect should be doubled
it might just be a constantly resetting buff timer to accommodate for em buffers like sucrose so that the weapons passive can adjust
It has probably to do with co-op, it only applies every 10 seconds if they’re in range.
Kazuha: *has a small er problem that doesn’t stop his kit from being crazy strong*
Hyv: I WILL SAVE YOU, MY SON
New 4* Kazuha BiS! Doesn’t look half bad either.
Honestly if there’s no mistranslation going on it might just be his BiS, period, even toppling freedom sworn.
That passive effect is ridiculous, +100 ER to himself and +30 ER to all teammates for just building 1k EM Kazuha correctly is obscenely powerful, and if it’s true that the duration going past the cooldown means it stacks with itself, then for two seconds out of every twelve that becomes +200 ER to self and +60 to allies, which is just comical at that point.
1000 EM – R5: 104 ER and 31.2 ER
104 + 31.2 * 3= 197.6 ER FOR THE ENTIRE TEAM OF 4 PEOPLE
