Xinyan is better.
Both have shield, and minor buffs.
But Xinyan can applicate, and she can be use as dps too.
I really hope this changes ;-; some off-field hydro app like summoning rain or even similar to mona’s with a spitting hydro pillar would be nice… but nothing? poor child
“Next patch we’ll have a Hydro Claymore new character, which will scale on defense. It might seem a strange choice, but we want to promote variety in the game, and travelers for sure will have a lot of DEF% artifacts which may turn useful this time!”

what is this kit. i was waiting for him to be a decent hydro applicator (not even asking Xingqiu lvl) and i’m getting… THIS. how do they go from Layla into this. not even off field hydro with his ult, how is he helping in his supposed niche team?
As a hydro he can funnel energy to Furina, and has a short E CD, as opposed to Mika. He also has a shield so Skirk can use Calamity of Eshu; the shield has higher total scaling than Layla, but Layla needs only HP while Dahlia needs ER% (and consequently likely Crit for Fav trigger), so their shields would probably end up being similarly thick; his NA speed buff really is weaker than Mika’s though. Due to having literally nothing else (therefore no opportunity cost), he’s a natural Noblesse user.
Skirk doesn’t really care about (any) elemental application outside of triggering her A1 passive (well and maybe for freezing mob so they don’t get scattered), so Dahlia actually works in Skirk team. The problem is that his buffing utilities is simply not strong enough, and the lack of hydro application means he is stuck to this niche. I would agree that some changes, such as making his E do off-field damage which allows him to use TotM, would be much better.
that’s actually why i’m sad. i don’t f care about skirk. with layla at least she’s bit more universal.
he’s got some nice multipliers, could be a fun damage per screenshot build 🙂 other than that I’m breathing in the copium
another patch another 4* bot on forever level 20 gang.
he’s a shielder, so it enables skirk to use calamity of eshu and and can use tenacity. remember you won’t use citlali in skirk teams, as she doesn’t provide buffs to cryo. i guess he can give characters a “one-time plunge” with his skill (???, can’t tell cuz it’s worded very weirdly) and he also seems to be a reliable shielder for frozen teams (i guess a buff for walmart-neuvillette teams)
Nah. Even without cryo resistance reduction, Citlali can hold TTDS and Codex artifacts. She also has off-field AoE cryo applications.
Currently Dahlia has very little going for him. His constellations are also as bad as Candace’s in a sense that Character’s base power got chopped up and spread-ed over for no reason.
you don’t need off-field cryo application on skirk and why would you build citlali on codex? built normally, citlali has no dps output
probably meant cinder which is default citlali’s set anyway.
from what I read, i think Skirk actually wants off-field cryo application to generate her Void Rift charges while supports are casting their skills so she can enter E mode with 3 charges immediately. Escoffier of course, solves this completely but not everyone is going to have her
why did they waste his design on this weird kit, i’ve been waiting for him since his leaks dropped, my son deserved better 🙁
Well they wasted his design on everything. His voice acting, his “role” , his bad and forced introduction as Venti’s sudden bestie, his change (with hair color, the eyes and clothes they made) and of course his kit. Now he is on Mika level and will for sure be fast forgotten.
what’s the point of the bouncing in his e? seems random and probably annoying in fight
Exploration probably. It also targets enemies by default and therefore explodes immediately, so accidentally launching yourself is unlikely.
I hope Daily_Dahlia is doing alright…
Be so fr. Mika at C0 can give up to 22% ATK SPD (25% at C5). Meanwhile, this guy only gives up to 15% ATK SPD at C0, and 25% at C6. The only difference between him and Mika is that he provides a shield, while Mika offers teamwide healing.
But wait! Mika also grants a Phys DMG bonus… and this guy? Aside from the shield and the subpar ATK SPD boost, he doesn’t offer any other buffs.
Honestly, such a letdown.
Literally, not even any off field hydro application. How is he supposed to fit on any teams? It would’ve been nice to have Freminet, Mika, Dahlia on the same team, but the last slot would need to go to a character who can do enabler superconduct or a character who can enable shatter. Maybe Eula can take advantage of having two ATK speed buffers? Either way, another male character who is supposed to be support who fails at his role. The last good male support was Baizhu and before him, Kazuha… It’s been too long.
Claymore users get the least amount of attack speed buff because of the hit lag mechanics. Right now the strongest character using Miku is Risley, as far as I know. But the attack speed buff has a cap. I don’t remember what it is, but I’m sure it’s less than 50%.
