Item Story
This bow, crackling with thunder, retains its luster despite having been soaked in thick darkness. When disaster came from a distant sea, it was once the favorite weapon of a great swordsman. In his youth, he wandered the mountains, and he made a wager with a great Tengu he came across. He gambled his young, strong body as a bet against a bow given by the Shogun. As for the gamble itself, he could only sometimes recall it, when he was drunk. But by the time dawn came, he had three wins and three losses — his contest with the Tengu was a draw. So in the bad news, he was taken as a servant by the Tengu. But in the good news, he won that unmatched bow. "Behold, Konbumaru, this is Tengu archery. Watch and learn!" He was given this rather ridiculous nickname, but ultimately, he witnessed the Tengu's form. Soaring through the clouds unfettered, unleashing thunderbolts with every bowstring's pulse... It was a true, unreserved dance of death. Fierce and unpredictable, elegant and beautiful. Many years later, he was no longer a servant boy, and he had grasped both some archery and swordsmanship. He was referred to the Shogunate through a recommendation letter from his impatient master. In the years under the Shogun, his martial skills improved greatly, and he made many friends and enemies. It’s funny because I quit genshin last year because of this weapon. I hate this weapon so much it’s unbereable. I lost the 50/50 on this ass weapon last year when Nahida came out. Absolute hot garbage. Been sitting on my inventory at LVL 1. Passive is so niche that you are FORCED to pull for someone that you don’t like. Reminder to NEVER pull on a weapon banner UNLESS you have both the characters that can use it. Don’t make my mistake. I wasted hours upon hours of farming primos for this
this is to me the most overvalued weapon in the game, considering it’s for yoimiya and there’s an excellent option called rust, but the real shit about this weapon – and it seems nobody wants to see or admit it – is its trash passive: when yomi has 100% recharge she LOSES part of this bow dmg bonus, so not only you have to find crit value when farming, but also you have to avoid ER because the more you have the more you’re forced to get rid of hit.
As if it wasn’t enough, using shimenawa you need ER to get that set passive, and it’s a massive pile of dogshit considered everything.
How is her rotation with too much ER then? easy to explain: using ER for shimenawa, but when 100% you have to use her burst (dps decrease). While with rust you can totally avoid it, and not using burst at all.
this bow + shimenawa is insanity. And also rust is very close to this weapon, and mostly better with TP with 2 stacks.
If echoes set wasn’t bugged, it will be 100% better than shimenawa for her.
we needed an unconditional passive, like the one we have on jade cutter, but we know it’s ridiculously good to be on genshin such weapon, and they’re aware of not doing that mistake again
Not just you. I saw similar comments like yours before the Honey update purge. I personally hate this on Yoimiya because one, it ironically makes ER stat as a “bad” stat, and two, it doesn’t fit her aesthetic.
At least it’s a good stat stick.
Reminder that the weapon banner is a scam. If you try to get this bow, you will waste all your primos and get the awful catalyst of the failed dendro “archon”. Mihoyo want you to spend real money for 5* weapons (not even needed for the abyss), don’t fall for their scam.

Make sure you blow your FAT primo load on the matching character’s c2. After all you did pull for this trash why not go ALL THE WAY BBY!
