What is a shame about Clorinde is that switching her out during Night Watch will most likely end the stance. The reason why Arlecchino stays pyro-infused when she’s switched out is because the pyro infusion is a perk (Masque of the Red Death) in her Normal Attack talent, it doesn’t stem from her Elemental Skill. Clorinde’s Night Watch stance is limited to 9 seconds with a 7 second cooldown. Arlecchino doesn’t have a time limit, only until Bond of Life runs out.
An upgrade to her kit would be adding her pistolet shots her to Normal Attack talent like how Arlecchino has “Masque of the Red Death”. And the description will be something like “When Clorinde has Bond of Life, she performs a standard pistolet shot”.
And Wild Hunt stays in the Elemental Skill talent. “When her Bond of Life is equal to or greater than 100% of her max HP: Performs a standard pistolet shot. When her Bond of Life is less than 100%, firing her pistolet will grant her Bond of Life, with the amount gained based on her max HP. The shots she fires can pierce opponents, and DMG dealt to opponents in their path is increased”.
That way, whenever Clorinde has Bond of Life, she still has her unique gun stance. And to make her BiS artifact set work or to remove Bond of Life, Night Watch stance in the Elemental Skill has to be used. People want her to scale with EM for Aggravate, but I can see her as a raw electro carry if her kit was done right like how Neuvillette is a raw hydro carry and how Arlecchino is a raw pyro carry, reactions are just a cherry on top. Electro is not a good main DPS element at the end of the day unless you’re C2 Raiden, more and easier access to her gun stance is the least they can do.
Not everyone has to have an infinite infusion, it was nice on Arle since her teams can run very versatile rotations but plenty of characters just don’t need it
Clorinde has pretty short field time allowing her allies to do more with less cost
In actual combat, downtime is spent on supports, in overworld combat ends too fast to matter

Isn’t that kind of a weird argument to make? That having another long infusion character is boring and not unique – that the opposite of that is unique despite us having plenty of such characters?
No the thing is now that they did it with one characters they shouldn’t do it for all. Pretending that they do the long infusion with everyone is dumb.
The bar she has to cross to powercreep all electro is already pretty low. There is this utterly mid cyno, that beyond mid keqing and most copium unit of all time raiden midgun. it is needless to say this time, “FONTAINE POWERCREEP is inevitable”.

It’s really sad that she just stands there posing, essentially making her electro Ayato.. I’ll probably still get her because of Cryo and Electro women supremacy.

My initial thoughts on Clorinde:
I fully expected her to be a 5* main DPS after seeing her in the Archon quests, and that is what we get.
She has low damage multipliers (that fortunately can be boosted by her AI) but in exchange has possibly the fastest overall attack speed in the game. Because of these properties, I feel her primary role is as an Aggravate Goddess (easily power-creeping poor Keqing). I feel her effectiveness in other teams is suspect based on what I see at this time.
Clorinde will easily be the best Electro Main DPS upon her release at C0. With Constellations, it seems to be a close contest between C2 Raiden Shogun and C2 Clorinde. C4 or higher is when Clorinde outpaces Raiden Shogun again, but you’re getting into super whale territory at that point. I would still see Raiden Shogun as the better OVERALL electro character due her additional Sub DPS and Support capabilities.
I think she is going to be a strong pick (as long as she is not significantly nerfed in beta), but she’s no Neuvillette.

Fischl doesn’t compare to C0 Raiden in any scenario, let alone at C2, you’re either trolling or clueless.
Sub-dps Fischl is better than Raiden (and has better weapons for the role)
also off-field batterying from a C6 Fischl is better than Raiden
outside of aggravate, Raiden is better in every other team comp at c0 vs c6 fischl. that would make Raiden a far better pick overall, especially with cons. Regardless, this is almost like comparing XQ and Yelan, both can be used for different teams but Yelan at c2 is ultimately better in most scenarios.

Guys be fr even though Raiden is one of my favourite characters, she’s not that good anymore. Yes Fischl outdamages her when we compare OFF FIELD dmg. Onfield Raiden is better with Furina Taser, National etc.
I really want to try Overload and Overvape.
Lack of EM scaling is a shame given the kit is clearly designed for Spread/Aggravate comps. How else would you take advantage of all that Crit DMG on her sig weapon? Are we getting a Natlan character who enables Overload reactions to crit or some sh!t?
The fact that most of her talents are focused on boosting her overall atk, rather than somehow boosting her EM tells me that it’s likely to encourage playing in teams outside of aggravate. It’s like how Cyno is amazing in quickbloom due to his inherent EM buffs, but falls off in electro-charged, overload, and aggravate teams somewhat. Well, he can be playable in aggravate, but he’d needs significantly higher investment to make it work compared to quickbloom.
And I know overload and electro-charged benefits from EM, but you’d need to build full EM to actually see any significant dmg from those reactions, unlike aggravate, where you can do a mix of both.

Argree, they should add in some impact for the shooting stance like slowly moving backward like bow characters for the motion feel. Or make her use dual pistols and shoot faster so it looks much more epic with stationary shooting xD
