Sorry that was disinformation meant to make players feel more comfortable pulling for Neuvillette or Zhongli, thinking they had all of 5.3 to save. Now their stashes are lessened and they’re more likely to spend.

I’m so happy Shenhe is finally back after almost two years of absence. But why would they put her in the chronicled banner despite the fact she had only two runs from the limited banner? Unless the players have no interest on having Natlan characters.
Going to just say what 5+ people said, basically she isn’t popular enough(made enough money.) so they changed the rules.

The official statement (from the special program) is that Hoyoverse heard player feedback about both the overly restrictive rules of Chronicled Wish and the frustration of not being able to get Shenhe for so long.
I suspect she hasn’t rerun in a regular Character Wish because Hoyoverse expects lower profits from her. Between Cryo being largely abandoned for years and Wriothesley not rerunning for about a year, there is probably more noise about her long absence than there are people who will actually pull for her.

Considering Capitano was rumored to be a physical main DPS, that points to another character being that role.
I am very confident that Iansan will be the Superconduit support that Genshin Impact desperately needs. There is another Natlan character from the Collective of Plenty, Varesa, that has mentioned in lore (and I have seen speculation that the cow-girl in the silhouette is Varesa).
If this is true, to me, this points to Varesa being a new 5* physical Main DPS. Iansan would either be a 4* on her banner, or be a 5* running on a concurrent banner (like Mavuika and Citali in 5.3.)

I’m still baffled that shenhe ended up in chronicled. She’s only had two banners? Ever? Like the others had multiple. Childe though I figured would run at the start of shenznya. And well the unforged is a good dumping stick I guess.
Wonder what the inazuma would be? Probably chirori would end up on it, she doesn’t seem to popular. Although both inazuma and sumeru don’t have that many characters, might just combine both?
TLDR: Why shenhe on chronicled?
Why is it important? Nobody cares. Shenhe is coming home, that is all that matters!
Hoyo made the rules, Hoyo is free to change them anytime.
Shenhe isn’t popular enough for Hoyoverse to give her another normal event re-run banner, so they changed the rules to allow her to appear in the Chronicled Wish Banner.
In the live stream they specifically mention that Shenhe didn’t meet the 3 banner requirement. So they chose to remove “that restriction” from Chronicle wish rules.
Shenhe is on the Liyue Chronicled Wish because she’s from Liyue, hasn’t been rerun in eons, is somewhat popular, is from Liyue, and they didn’t want to find out what would happen if she wasn’t included.
Should she have had a rerun earlier? Yes.
Should they have included her regardless? Also yes.
They’ve probably been planning to include her in the 5.3 Chronicled Wish for a while. I can’t imagine the resulting resentment and violence were she not included in a Liyue Chronicled Wish after almost 2 years of absence.

I heard rumors (probably from Sauce Kun but I digress) that banner phases are “phasing out” (pun intended) and they’re going to transition into a new banner system that might last for 42 days i.e. an entire patch. I don’t know the sales strategy Hoyo is pulling out on this one so feel free to share thoughts. It might affect other Hoyo games as well (HSR, ZZZ).

WELL. The new beta update sure is something. But whatever, what really matters to me is that my girl Lumine got buffed a bit. I’ve built each element Lumine but this time her being a damage dealer isn’t that much of a cope
they shouldve make traveler gains a little stats for every quest completed, like when the traveller use the knowledge capsule it increases their base atk by 3, that way it can compensate the dog shit kit the dev intentionally create with high stats.
