So people have been saying that this can’t be used with other characters very easily, as you can only get the 12% boost, but couldn’t you get the 24% boost on second rotation? Bond of life lasts very long time so as long as you have a shielder and no healer, then it works. If you don’t have this to begin with, then you will barely get the 12% boost to begin with. This locks it behind some pretty specific teams but it seems the point of “well you only get the 12% boost” is pretty invalid both ways. Either it goes away almost instantly or you also get 24% boost on second rotation and thereafter.
“some pretty specific teams” – literally any teams that use Bennet, Furina, Chev, Kuki, Kokomi, Mika, Baizhu, Jean and Xianyun are blocked.
These are not “some pretty specific teams”, but most of the game’s teams
By the way, almost all our dps spearmen play with healer – Bennet (and Chev) for Raiden /XL, Baizhu for Cyno, Xianyun for Xiao, HuTao completely cancels the passive spear ability of her heal Ult (not to mention healer, which she needs in Furina team).
So yes, in practice it just doesn’t work.
Yeah basically what I was saying. That it won’t even get the 12% boost for almost all teams. Only team that could maybe use it is Cyno, Nahida, Yelan, Zhongli. Other than that, any team that can run it is mostly just forcing the passive to be active by losing better buffs.

I was wondering it would be usable with Hu Tao, since it would look quite nice with her (especially if the scythe animation does work). Hence I did some approximations and test with the catalyst (flowering purity) that gives a bond of life. The bond of life duration lasts 10 minutes, which is huge, meaning in overworld, it’ll be easy to get the full buff.
Unfortunately for abyss, if we were to simply use Hu Tao normally, and clear the chamber in one rotation (so only 25% Bond of life), for the next chamber, the bond of life will have reset (it disappears).
Though, I’ve approximated that by beginning the chamber’s half by doing a charge attack with Hu Tao (without using the skill), then follow up with her usual rotation ( Zhongli/Thoma, Yelan and Xingqiu), we would reach about 10-12 seconds of the 14 seconds cooldown of the weapon. Hence then using her skill and charge attacking might be perfectly on time to proc another bond of life allowing to reach max buff during one rotation’s duration. That being said, it would mean trying to be slower while activating our longest support’s buff as a way to go around the cooldown.
(If a second rotation is required then max buff will already be present, no matter what, since the duration of the bond of life is 10 minutes).
(I was only able to do approximations as of now because I do not possess Hu Tao nor Yelan, but I plan on getting them both. I believe this weapon to be an upgrade to Homa, at least in terms of aesthetic. So please take this with a grain of salt. If anyone is interest in calculating the actual time require to set up Hu Tao’s rotation, I would be interested to know in order to determine if the theory will work practically.)

The weapon would only work in non-Furina variations of Hu Tao teams as you’d play her with a healer which would clear the bond of life.
the scythe animation only works with Arlecchino and the bond of life won’t do anything for Hutao unless you wanted it as a stat stick then by all means but in terms of weapon that works with Hutao just use PJWS or HOMA.

Arle’s weapon isn’t wanted for anyone else so they need an attractive 2nd option
the attractiveness of this weapon is that any other weapon on Arle will just look garbage. Seems like hoyo really wants their money they spent on her and her weapon’s animations back.
For f2p players or low spenders, 240 pulls for a better drip I don’t think is attractive enough to sell if the weapon banner is bad
also the leaked reruns are Alhaitham Lyney and Furina so the worst case imo would be splendor
240 is a ridiculous amount of pulls and we should stop using numbers assuming max hard pity, as that is mathematically never going to happen due to how the pity system works

“Memory of Dust”. My memory for that weapon has been dissolved into dust.
Cyning aside, this is actually very possible. Kokomi is due to rerun, Baizhu’s last rerun was 3 patches prior so he’s also possible, and Memory of Dust last rerun was… July 2022. It’s a time bomb that has been waiting to explode…
Actually there’s another one possibility: Memory of Dust would rerun but on Liyue’s Chronicle banner. It could be run together with Arle’s banner (just like Chiori’s with Mondstadt’s banner), but this is just a speculation. Just keep praying to whatever god/archon/elemental sovereign you believe in.

compared this weapon with jade in the optimizer and was honestly shocked…
I compared them both at r1 and on arlecchino 4pc fragment 70cr 220 cd and 80em at c0 and c6 solo and in a yelan, xq, and bennett team.
so, i was honestly baffled how the dmg difference is basically nonexistent. in every single scenario they do about the same dmg no matter what. with atk/pyro gob the dif is about 1-2%, at c0 its also roughly 1-2%, and so on.
but theres a catch..
at c0 this weapon allows you to do about 4 more NA’s which is a pretty big dps increase however if u plan on getting c2 i dont really see any reason for anyone to pull for it.
in my opinion its an obvious scam considering how its also the only weapon that gives her a scythe but oh well genshin knew that everyone would pull for it no matter how shitty it may have been and im one of those people😂

problem is BoL maximum cap, which I don’t know if it can exceed 100.
if it can then with C0 kit it’s 80+15+25 = 120% BoL
while using Jade you are capped at 80+15 = 95% BoL
calculated by this difference I can see her signature went above Jade for about 5000-6000 avg.damage on every NA hit
however, if BoL was to be capped at 100 then, Jade actually do slightly better damage than signature by 30-40 avg. damage which is strange since signature should be better if they’re going to sell the weapon.
I’m calculating this with C0 Arle ATK2414 CrR 77.6% CrD 229.9% using her artifacts. both polearms are R1. full weapon buff. talent 10/10/10

Puhh…. I had hoped they would use the Scythe concepts and scetches for her weapon… would have pulled for it then, but now with a Staff of Homa and another jade winged spear just lying around I will use one of those instead and save some primos…
This weapon does look like a scythe when Arlecchino is wielding it, so if you just wanted it for the scythe aesthetic then you’d still be getting that. Just don’t expect it to look like a scythe on other characters because their animations weren’t designed with a scythe in mind.
