Item Story
La naginata era un arma letal con la que se podía cortar la suciedad dispersa. Y quien empuñaba esa naginata era quien protegía el camino hacia la eternidad. Cuando la que se alzaba por encima de las nubes de tormenta miraba al mundo mortal que tanto amaba, veía sus disputas superficiales y sus obsesiones pasajeras. Tales contenciones provenían de apegos innecesarios y de deseos incontrolados, ambos enemigos de la eternidad. La maleza salvaje que perturbaba al inmutable mundo sería barrida por el rayo. “Entonces, ¿qué clase de eternidad se reflejaría en los ojos de ███?”, preguntó el ser divino que bebía vino con ella bajo los cerezos en aquel recuerdo todavía claro. Qué pregunta tan tonta. No recordaba la respuesta que le dio debido a su estado de embriaguez. Pero ella ya había obtenido la respuesta innumerables veces en esos recuerdos. Hay que limpiar los frutos para mejorar su calidad, y las plantas que se utilizan en los tintes deben tener sus flores podadas. No se podía permitir ni una pizca de suciedad en un paraíso eterno. “Ah, pero aun así... Aunque se use ese gran filo luminoso para arrancar de raíz toda obsesión y eliminar la posibilidad de que los sueños echen raíces y se marchiten por sí mismos... Un mundo tranquilo que no admite disputas, ni ganancias, ni pérdidas... Será un mundo amnésico y perdido”. En el corazón de la eternidad, el recuerdo de esa vieja amiga sigue siendo igual de claro y el aroma del cerezo, igual de fresco, como si aún estuvieran en el presente. “Pero nunca te olvidaré, como tampoco olvidaré las cosas que se perdieron a lo largo de los años”. Después de todo... Habiendo sido testigo de cómo la aniquilación de la oscuridad consumió a las personas que más le importaban, ¿cómo no iba a ver como enemigos mortales lo absurdo de la vida y la muerte y lo incomprensible del destino? Ya que nadie puede anular la impermanencia del mundo y la naturaleza estéril de este juego, entonces deja que la eutimia eterna de su corazón entre en la nación que ama. |

is this weapon good for lot of other characters than Raiden? the ayato raiden weapon banner looks nice if Raiden weapon is good but for raiden i’m not sure is it worth just R1 vs R5 catch the fish weapon polearm
I’m pretty sure thats BiS for Raiden, even at R1. And like you could use on other characters but like, if you have Raiden and her Spear why would you use on someone else? (Xiangling is hella stronk with R5 Catch)

ye I meant in my comment that grasscutter R1 is better then catch R5
Raiden grasscutter is good, but its not as versatile as staff of homa I’m afraid. It works well on Raiden and Xiangling tho, since both of them are able to utilize full emblem set and high ER stat to the fullest.
And yes, r1 grasscutter is better than r5 catch, it gives Raiden around 20% more ult dmg. Also, you’re getting bonus atk from the passive, which means you dont have to bother with atk sands/goblets, you just give Raiden ER sand, electro dmg goblet and you’re good to go.
Anyways, thats good weapon to get if you’re playing Raiden and Xiangling a lot, and even put them at the same team (like Raien national). But if you’re not or if you’re looking for something a bit more versatile, I suggest to wait for homa and stick with r5 catch for now.
I agree. Here is an approximate list to whom this weapon will bring the greatest profit:

6. candace (as driver)
You still need attack goblet, ER substat from this plus ER sands already give so much Electro damage from that you get so much diminishing dmg in return . Except if you use attack% substat weapon.
Higher ER is generally better stat to have cuz it gives Raiden extra boost to her stats and abilities and increases the bonus atk she gets from her graasscutter passive. I’ve used the catch for a long time and yes it was much better with atk goblet instead of electro dmg goblet cuz atk stat was super low without it. But grasscutter passive fix that low atk problem so electro dmg goblet getting more value for me here, specially cuz it almost always Benny or Sara at Raiden teams to get additional atk boost. But it also depends on substats, atk goblet with god tier substats are much better choice compared to electro dmg goblet with meh subs.
this here^, remember atk buffs are everywhere, elem dmg buffs are rare so dmg bonus goblets have higher priority.
