“... ¡No es ninguna espada barata de papel! Es... es... ¡la Superespada Mágica Suprema que una vez derrotó al Emperador Cangrejo!”. Hace mucho, mucho tiempo, cuando las flores rociomarinas ni siquiera se llamaban así todavía, en alta mar vivía el grandioso Emperador Cangrejo Malévolo. Aunque nadie sabía por qué era tan grandioso, qué tierras gobernaba o quiénes eran sus súbditos, como todo el mundo hablaba de ello, el nombre del emperador se extendió por todo el mar. “¿Será esto lo que significa ser noble por naturaleza?”, pensó el Emperador Cangrejo Malévolo mientras arrasaba con todo a su paso. Así, poco a poco fue aceptando el hecho de que todo el mundo lo veneraba. Igual que los humanos, de naturaleza superior (o al menos ellos mismos se creían superiores), su grandiosa majestad suspiró al pensar que su condición de emperador le estaba impidiendo tener amigos (un pensamiento que, por cierto, también denotaba ciertos aires de superioridad). Al fin y al cabo, con sus potentes tenazas, ahuyentaba muy fácilmente a sus enemigos y podía cortar sin problema los hilos del destino de quienes intentaban intimidarlo. Mientras tanto, el emperador guardaba una cantidad de oro tan grande como la misma Montaña Equinoccio, con la que se podían comprar sin problemas todos los dulces y galletas de Fontaine. ¡Eso sí que era vivir a cuerpo de rey! Sin embargo, al no tener amigos con los que jugar, cuando Su Majestad estaba aburrido o triste —es decir, cuando ni comer dulces o galletas le levantaba el ánimo—, lo único que podía hacer era podar la vegetación marina con sus colosales tenazas. Pero, después de todo, seguía siendo un cangrejo, y por muy poderoso que fuera, sus habilidades de poda no eran mucho mejores que las de una raya normal y corriente. Un día, el grandioso Emperador Cangrejo Malévolo estaba escupiendo burbujitas —“glu, glu, glu”— cuando de repente se encontró con una pequeña melusina. “¡Grrr! Osada criatura que se atreve a poner una pata en mi malévolo palacio imperial, ¿a qué has venido?”. Aunque el Emperador Cangrejo escupía fuego con furia, al mismo tiempo se alegró y tenía un poco de miedo. Cuando los demás seres marinos lo veían, se asustaban con su mera presencia y salían huyendo, así que en realidad hacía mucho tiempo que el emperador no hablaba con alguien. “Hola, señor Cangrejo”, saludó la melusina. “No pareces muy contento. ¿Quieres que juguemos a algo para alegrarte un poco?”. “No lo entiendes”, respondió el Emperador Cangrejo. Quería dar una llamada de atención a la melusina por haberse dirigido a él como “señor” en vez de como “Su Majestad”, pero en lugar de eso, al final dijo: “Un emperador como yo no puede jugar con una melusina tan pequeña como tú. Si lo hiciera, perdería mi majestuosidad imperial”. “¿Y qué pasaría si la perdieras?”. “Si la perdiera, no podría seguir siendo emperador y lo único que me distinguiría de los demás cangrejos serían mis grandes tenazas y mi robusta coraza”. “Señor cangrejo, tus tenazas son más grandes que yo, tienes más pies que yo y tu coraza es más robusta que las paredes de mi casa. Tienes un montón de cosas supergeniales aparte de oro, dulces y galletas, ¡deberías estar contento! Ah, claro, ¡ya sé! ¡Es tu majestuosidad imperial lo que te impide ser feliz!”. “Pequeña melusina, puesto que no eres emperatriz, perdonaré tu ignorancia, pero has de saber que la felicidad de un emperador no es importante”. “Bueno, pero antes de ser emperador, serías un cangrejo normal y corriente, ¿no? Me pone triste verte en este estado, ¡así que quiero ayudarte a que te deshagas de tu majestuosidad imperial!”. “¡Grrr! Pequeña melusina, eres muy impertinente. ¿Cuándo has visto tú un emperador que renuncie a su propio imperio?”, inquirió el cangrejo mientras balanceaba las pinzas. “A menos que... hipotéticamente hablando... y recalco lo de ‘hipotéticamente’, un héroe derrotara al Emperador Malévolo con su superespada... y entonces el emperador podría contentarse con ser un cangrejo que juega con las melusinas”. “¡Guau! ¡¿En serio sería posible?!”, exclamó la melusina con emoción. Sin embargo, al cabo recordó algo y volvió a decir en un tono más triste: “Pero es que... no sé dónde puede estar ese héroe, ni tampoco sé dónde se encuentra esa superespada...”. “Oh, ¡eso son detalles sin importancia! Mientras pueda derrotar al Emperador Malévolo, cualquier persona puede ser un héroe y cualquier arma puede ser una superespada”, dijo el emperador de forma apresurada. “¡Grrr! ¿Lo entiendes, melusina impertinente?”. “... Eso es lo que me dijo el señor cangrejo, así que, por favor, ¡ayúdenme!”, rogó la melusina, a lo que sus vecinas de la Aldea Espumarina accedieron de inmediato. Entonces, buscaron una concha marina gigante que poder usar como escudo, un casco de algas para remplazar la corona de laurel, confeccionaron una capa con los restos de barcos naufragados del interior de Elynas, y crearon una espada de cartón tras mucho tiempo intentando secar el material. Y así, la heroína melusina emprendió el camino para derrotar al Emperador Cangrejo Malévolo y, con la ayuda de su superespada suprema, venció al tirano cangrejo imperial. A partir de ese momento, el señor cangrejo dejó de ser un emperador malévolo y se hizo amigo de las melusinas. Tras una breve deliberación, las melusinas decidieron de manera unánime que esta arma, la mayor superespada suprema de la Aldea Espumarina, la cual había brillado tan fervientemente entre las sombras, le sería otorgada a un gran héroe supremo en conmemoración de su amistad. |

this looks like a Furina-synergistic weapon. The buff at max is basically TTDS. The ER is a nice addition. I can see this working a bit for Beidou but not much on the others.
R5 this or R5 Tidal Shadow for every claymore character with Furina?

and this doesn’t change wether you have furina or not
it’s +30% ER (this) vs 270 flat ATK (Tidal), as “R5 this” has more base damage, that 40+48% ATK from Tidal is not a clear win, ATK% only affects base ATK damage which is 350 (lvl 90 Navia) + 564 at “this” and 350 + 509 at Tidal.
It is worth to mention that “this” has only a quest requirement then it’s permanent without any combat restrictions, for Tidal you will have the “get healed” requirement.
30% ER is decent, I’d say the weapons are equal if all requirements are met and it only depends on your luck with artifact stats. If lack of ER, go for “this”, if enough ER, go for Tidal

They also give out EM, but since crit values are the best stats they reserve those for gacha/buy-in.
Doesn’t matter. This weapon is super strong. Conditionless Base 565 ATK, 31% ER and 48% ATK.
This is unironically one of the best 4* Claymores.
Basically any DPS/Sub-DPS who needs some ER% can just equip this and benefit highly from this.
For reference:
Other 565 Base ATK Claymore give only 28% ATK and most of the time very conditional extra benefits (example: Prototype Archaic R5, 28% ATK and every 15s 480% ATK dmg).
Even 454 Base ATK weapon give 55% ATK, so only 7% more than this weapon, and then they lose out on 31% ER and 111 Base ATK (big difference, on average we get around 108% ATK with an ATK% sands, so this will be around 120 ATK less on your character).
I’d rather take this weapon than a CRIT event weapon with a shitty passive (which is the likely course they’ll take with a free CRIT weapon tbh).
Yea it wouldn’t hurt if they gave out some crit rate instead of leaving us out in the desert. 5-star weapons usually already have some outperforming passives that make them superior anyway.
Most free weapons are starting to become redundant now because they avoid giving crit.
Because new players or someone who leaves the game and come back will cry. Remember Festering Desire? It gave crit and bonus damage, then people cry a lot because they didn’t play the game.
It doesn’t need to be crit.
Cinnabar Spindle exists.
Pretty confident this’ll be Beidou and Freminet’s best F2P option. In any situation where you’d be running Prototype Archaic, you should run this instead. In any situation where you’d be running Nagamasa, you should probably just get better ER subs and run this instead. Very comfortable on Saya as well, though it’s tough to say if the ER is enough to make it competitive with Mailed Flower and Tidal Shadow, probably artifact/constellation dependent.

Does anyone know what exactly “number of [Melusines] you’ve helped,” refers to in the passive (like it is preexisting world quests, new ones, or a part of the event)? I am somewhat new and am not any where near caught up in terms of quests, so I want to know what specifically I would need to do get the max the passive effect.

Don’t know for sure where the event is taking place, but the passive specifically mentions the Melusines you’ve helped in Merusea Village, so I would imagine it’s pre-existing world quests, as there’s quite a few Melusines that fit that description already! Though I suppose it’s entirely possible they’ll add more in the patch they drop this, I imagine the ones already out there count for this.
Ok good. I only knew of the painter one that automatically starts her quest when you come near.
If there are already multiple with quests it is probably referring to that (as the event description and text doesn’t seem to include anything about helping Melusines).
There were some Melusines you could help and they would give you some scraps you could exchange for items in a Melusine village store, the village chief will lead you to the others that need help and you can also look around.

I get the Buff for two quests by calculating the attack difference after refiment. I think one is for mamere and one for puca. For puca you may need the hiden ending (?)… talt to Cesil after a few days.
I think the stickers on the sword say how much quest are possible. (i think there is a Puca sticker)
