Not trying to hate on the character but the shield feels kinda weak in the trial, if I’m being honest. It broke against regular mobs and we have consecrated beast in the abyss again.
u could say it’s a trade
u get weaker shield but constant Cryo app + res shred + cinder City buff
if zhongli gives you immortality, then Citlali gives you lotta offensive power
I have about 1.2k EM with talent level 13. I did the Scaramouche weekly boss, he couldn’t pop the shield once while purposely standing in his attacks. It’s good enough.
gotta figure out how to make granny work. and even worse, no 5* pyro…
been using ayaka, yae miko, nahida, sigewinne (formerly kokomi) for almost 3 years. can she somehow be built into DPS…
unfortunately she doesn’t buff cryo itself, just pyro and hydro when rections with cryo are happening, so if you can make a team with continuous hydro dmg dealers like Xingqiu, or Pyro who can deal less pyro appilication than the rest of the team, it can work. like a triple Cryo with xiangling (she’ll melt quite a few pyronado swings if you put 2 cryos and ayaka, who has a lot of cryo aplication on her Q)
If you need a dps, just pull for Mavuika. It would be much more optimal rather than trying to convert a support into a dps. You already have Ayaka for Cyro and there are also other good dps like Arlecchino or Clorinde coming in the same patch.
I was thinking about her applying cryo for Gaming to melt, but then recalled Gaming being a blunt attacker, and so will cause any freeze auras to be shattered, and on bosses freeze cannot occur at all — this means Gaming cannot have both Furina and Citlali or the reaction might be destroyed.
But! This dynamic can be helpful in Furina-Klee team, where Klee is a pyro Childe and Furina a hydro Xiangling, and you actually want pyro aura on enemies. By testing, a pyro blunt attack can both trigger shatter and apply pyro in the same attack, so Citlali can actually help Klee apply pyro by removing excess hydro auras. Her shield (though quite thin) can prevent Klee from being staggered, the Res shred (which is improved to break even with VV at C2) works better than VV if there are multiple waves of enemies and can easily shred both hydro and pyro, and the bonus damage from C1 works well with Furina.
i also aim to put her in gaming team, but without furina (cuz she is in different team), so its gonna be only melt reaction from these two, so, is it still viable?
klee doesnt really need a shield with the staggering amount of stagger she has, skill issue players say that she does
also calling furina a hydro xiangling is funny given she is far from having as good application as xiangling, but i get that you mean in the role of reaction dps

Freeze itself doesn’t matter, cryo application being heavier than pyro application is what matters. Gaming has surprisingly little pyro app, so he already works and Citlali will make it work even better.
I see. I checked again and Gaming did trigger shatter when hitting frozen enemies (the first two times the enemy was not frozen but simply had cryo), but the hydro that was coexisting with freeze allowed him to vape. Furina’s chaotic hydro application has synergy with this, as the enemies are either not frozen, or have hydro+frozen so Gaming will always be able to trigger reactions.
I suppose Citlali alone will work well enough, since in the last few seconds it was Rosalia alone applying cryo, who has the same application rate as Citlali. Adding Furina might disturb the melt but Gaming will be able to vape anyways.
Okay, so, if you ran Citlali and Xilo on a team together with, let’s just say Arlecchino for example, who runs the Cinder City set between the two of them? Cause I don’t believe that it stacks.
In that scenario Citlali wears the Cinder City set and Xilonen wears Petra, or whichever other buffing set you prefer.
Citlali really appreciates the energy from the Cinder City 2pc and can trigger the 4pc from off field for better uptime and/or more flexible rotations.
Xilonen’s E’s mobility makes grabbing crystals much easier and less annoying than every other Petra holder I can think of. She doesn’t benefit as much from the Cinder City 2pc either, especially on an Arlecchino team.
If someone hasn’t used Petra before I recommend experimenting with a junk set before investing because its gameplay can feel clunky af and gets worse the more elements there are in play.
Citlali can run cinder city while xilo could run a archaic petra
Seems like another broken support with very small personnel’s damage (100 base attack?). Worse than xilonen until c2 and that’s even only for melt team (250em for freeze team is just useless).
her personnal dmg isnt low, and the low base atk is not a reason for this, since she scales mostly with elemental mastery
With her burst, you will probably get about the same damage as Bennet’s burst randomly criting on a target. However, overall her personal damage will be low while waiting on that cooldown since her kit doesn’t buff cryo damage.
her kit has nothing to do with bennett. this isnt even a comparison.
her damage is in fact, far better than bennett.
read her kit again, her burst scales with 1200% e.m. and with more than 800% at k at level 8. even if citlali base atk is low, you can easily fix this with 5* weapons.
and, bennett has split scaling, citlali more kinda double scaling.
if you build bennett with hp for fast healing, it will not be used to the his personal damage
she is not meant to buff cryo at all, she is a unit that is meant to be paired with pyro and hydro chars to increase their dmg.

The comparison is only that of their damage. And I agree with op that her damage is really worthless.
On an ideal build c0r0, she will have around 1k em and 1k atk. This sums up to 20k per burst. She is very less likely to crit as she doesnt wear crit helmet, crit artifact set or run in dual cryo teams for resonance.
Hence all damage above 20k will be based on her total dmg%. This will push her burst damage to max 40k, maybe 50k.
Bennett can go 100k+ with his burst on a dps build. He can afford dps build because his buff doesn’t scale, he doesn’t have high er requirements and heals are secondary, ignorable.
sad that probably i will not get her in 5.3 and will have to wait for the rerun 🙁

Wrio debut was 4.1 and he is rumoured to rerun in 5.4 so that’s 12 patches later. Best she can get is 6.6 if there is a 5.8 patch and 6.5 if no 5.8
