Love her design, love her color palette, but dislike her animation. Just from it alone you could already tell she would be the type to be clumsy but act strongly for whatever fetish or kink the fans have. I just wish they would just go with making her masculine with a bit of a deep voice. I know they are afraid it would not sell well but I still hope they would change things for variety.

All I ever ask is for them to change the personality’s formula of a character who clearly appears to be cutie patootie. A shock reaction when a character’s personality is not like their design would be nice you know.

I swear Hoyo is trying to turn Genshin into Zenless, don’t get me wrong I fucking ADORE Zenless, but mixing the two games? Is like mixing Soda and Milk or Oil and Water, it doesn’t blend well imo… I drew the line at Mauvika and skipped her while quitting for an entire month out of burnout and boredom, I’ve played since HOUR 1 of the games launch and so far Natlan as a whole has been the biggest wet fart of a patch since pre buffed Zhongli 1.1 (and THATS saying something…)
Wake me up when Hoyo gets their shit together and makes a compelling story and characters, hopefully in Snezhnaya…

be grateful for what you get, you ungrateful child. loads of new arcade mini games, tcg cards and what not. Dont forget the new teapot furniture being added every patch. didn’t you get 20 whole free pulls just logging in to the game for a couple of week.
and forgot to mention didn’t the inventory item capacity got increased. farm more mints and stuff than complain bout natlan being bad

i keep seeing people complain and blab about how bad natlan is, but its always the same complaint on how “lore is bad” when its just not going to compare ever to the first experience of a nation or the nightsoul looks too digital but it provides a unique look for the natlanese. have yall ever thought about the fact that genshin is a constantly evolving game and is still sticking to the basis, just in a more efficient and characterized way?

We all know Hoyo characters lean on the paper thin, deep as a puddle trope, they ain’t trying to make appeal to the indie movie buff market of like 23 people no? Hoyo aims for the board weebs who watch mainstream anime and the like. And there is nothing wrong with that! hell its fun at times, and some times you CAN get an amazing and compelling story *cough, cough Fontaine even with its wack pacing*
Anyway this isn’t really what my original comment was even about, no… RATHER what I actually dislike are the admittedly high quality, but insanely unfitting designs of the Natlan cast, I’ve seen a ton of people say: “Wtf is a FLYING REVOLVER, MOTOR BIKE AND DJ STAND?! Doing in my magic fantasy game?!” that’s the core issue here, its the designs themself! I wouldn’t bat an eye if i saw Mavuika, Varesa or Xilonen in Zenless… that was the point of my comment… NOT comparing their story, world, character writing or whatever…
I Praise Zenless for being… well Zenless! its fun, its goofy, its wacky and it KNOWS its audience of gooners and it loves them, Genshin on the other hand, feels like it started pandering towards that crowd lately, and it feels really unfitting for ITS audience of younger Shonen fantasy loving players… Lots of people said Yelan was “Too much for this PEGI 12 game!” and yeah, she was on the edge, but she still FIT in the world, sure a bit TOO much focus on her ropes or whatever, but she fit her detective and hitman role and had lore to back it up, so I didn’t care personally. Mavuika? please give me a good lore reason she has a motor bike? other then sell an insanely powercreeped movement ability and a sexy bike fit… Reportedly her banner did sell well, obviously… she is basically the most broken character in the game… I just really, REALLY hope this won’t be the trend going forward…
TL:DR, My original comment was a quick remark about how Varesa fits into Zenless’s design philosophy more then Genshin’s while baiting some funny rage comments in the process, all fueled for my true dislike towards Mavuika 😉
Also serious question for anyone how knows, can I ask? What has Natlan “fixed”? And no… QoL stuff like “oh! i can now see how many condensed resin i have while in domain party menu!” doesn’t count, its basic shit that should’ve been in the game from 2.0 and forward, anyway, what has Natlan improved in terms of the open world? more loot? more side stories? (all one-time stuff) Not being allowed Pyro traveler until finishing the god damn Archon quest?! Worse traversal unless you unhandicap yourself with a character that has some kind of night soul? I’ve 100%’ed every region out of pure enjoyment of exploring so far! Natlan? I can’t be bothered to grind more then 60% because Hoyo begs and pleas with the promises of frimogems…
Lastly, “who asked?” no one! that’s exactly who, I’m just a stranger on the wide web, throwing out my opinions for people to laugh at, agree with, or like you respond to!
I hope I get those answers I was looking for, either way if it was a bait troll or not, it was fun writing it all down! and refreshing to have someone to dump everything that bothers me with Natlan onto! ;D
